BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Senior Financial Analyst in Holdrege, Nebraska
Job Description Summary
We are currently seeking a sharp, skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to act as a key member in the Holdrege finance department and will partner with Holdrege’s Plant Controller to support the Plant Manufacturing Operations and the Finance Center of Excellence (COE). Must be a highly motivated, multitasking, analytical thinker with the ability to work through complex problems in order to reach justifiable conclusions to support their team.
This position will partner with the Controller in the following duties and responsibilities:
Partnering with Operations to:
Ensure productivity factors are in-line with expectations
Ensure manufacturing variances to standard and start- up costs are accurate
Validation of production volumes & analyzing leverage
Prepare off-cycle product cost development
Working with the Finance COE :
To develop standard costing, month end processes, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and 3 year strategic plans
To drive further standardization and process efficiency
Continuous Improvement/Cost Reduction project analysis
Assist performing cost analysis of process improvements
Assist in generating templates that be used for CI projects
Capital and financial model development and analysis
Work with operations in the capital budgeting process
Preparing capital investment analysis ROI/ IRR/NPV
Forecasting future spending & depreciation for forecasts
Assist with the analysis of inventory levels and days inventory on hand (DIO) to ensure they meet targets
Assist & analyze inventory cycle count program to ensure accuracy
Assist with special projects as assigned
The ideal candidate will meet these qualifications
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required. MBA, CPA preferred.
4+ years plant manufacturing accounting and product costing experience required.
Must exhibit strong MS Excel proficiency with detailed knowledge of advanced functions including v-lookups, pivot tables, and macros.
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
Ability to travel an average of 10% domestically.
Experience in SAP or other manufacturing Tier 1 ERP systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of capital budgeting, including IRR/NPV.
Highly experienced in inventory Fixed Assets, Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities and complete all tasks in a detailed and timely fashion.
Candidate must have good interpersonal/ communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work both as a member of a team and independently to accomplish responsibilities. Strong multi-tasking abilities. Strong analytical skills for review and interpretation of data.
