Job Description Summary

• An important part of the role will be to promote market and sell our broad range of vascular products (like endovascular stents, drug-coated balloons, PTA, Grafts).

• Effectively managing sales calls: Sales analysis and commercial awareness together with excellent negotiation, presentation and account management skills.

• In-servicing of new technology and device to practitioners, nurses, radiologists, vascular surgeons and fully train the staff of the device features.

• Observes, analyses and reports needs, concerns and opinions of accounts and decision makers and gather market intelligence, competitive intelligence and general market dynamics information.

• Serve as key account representative across Bard divisions for a limited number of accounts within his territory.

• Investigate and identify market development opportunities. Develop, plan and execute plans accordingly together with the management.

• Develop and maintain relationship with KOL and specific workgroup across the region.

• Perform product and clinical presentations during local scientific meeting (staff meeting, local scientific groups, …)

• Maintain and report competitive market intelligence.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will have outstanding relationship skills to engage with and develop key customers.

ROLE

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years experience in a sales function preferably in the healthcare industry. He/she is expected to maintain clinical proficiency to be capable of supporting cases in a competent manner.

  • Knowledge of endovascular surgeries and an existing network of vascular surgeons/interventional radiologist is a plus.

  • Experience within and understanding of the hospital environment as well as the ability to demonstrate a successful track record in selling to both senior clinical and commercial business managers in a hospital setting.

  • Excellent clinical understanding.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Build a strong network with the peers as well as with the sales & marketing team, the market place, and the medical associations by being detailed, pro-active, and reliable in follow-up.

  • Ability to develop a mapping of decision makers within healthy institutions.

  • Problem solving and information gathering capability.

  • Ability to prioritize and plan accordingly.

  • Ability to present the product range at scientific meetings.

  • Good computer skills needed for reporting and presenting (PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Dutch native language and good knowledge of English.
