Pleural & Peritoneal Access (formerly Interventional Specialties)
Position is responsible for the sales of the chronic, acute and core (diagnostic trays) portfolio. This includes the Pleurx Catheter System and full acute drainage products. Candidate must live in the Austin/San Antonio, TX. area.
Sales Consultant is responsible for increasing penetration and profitability in existing accounts as well as increasing market share through cold calling, prospecting, building relationships, post sales implementation and account maintenance.
Focused on account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a territory. Involved in the sale of clinically differentiated solutions to include surgical instruments, equipment, products and/or disposables, and/or standalone software. Buying process involves physician preference and one or two decision makers.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge of CareFusion and customer industry, including: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, challenges, reimbursement and government regulation; demonstrates working knowledge of how CareFusion offerings match with a customers' unique business needs.
Initiates and takes ownership of principles of territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, deal economics
Directs field sales and service strategy for Chronic and Acute draining products (including Pleurx Catheter), Soft Tissue Biopsy, Bone Marrow Biopsy, and Diagnostic Trays within a specific geographical territory
Increases sales and customer satisfaction through a varied sales approach which includes cold-calling, relationship building, and account management Develops and implements short and long term plans to achieve annual sales and gross profit dollar goals by building on existing accounts and identifying and cultivating new opportunities for growth

Calls on Oncology, Pulmonology, Cardiothoracic, OR and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) while building relationships and selling to physicians and hospitals
Design and deliver sales presentations
Introduces and sells new products, enhancements and multiple product lines
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum 3-5 years related sales experience; medical device
Ability to travel 25% of time
Proven product knowledge in business area
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
Must live in/around the territory
Must have experience calling on Interventional Radiologists, Pulmonologists, and Thoracic Surgery.
