Job Description Summary
IDS Global HEOR Manager
The resource demonstrates a full understanding of HEOR work concepts, principles, and practices, with experience executing priority programs that are moderate- to high-complexity and visibility. The resource will demonstrate strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate and align teams, influence with persuasive communications, and apply business acumen to HEOR objectives.
They will lead project scope, timelines and budgets and may execute HEOR tactics independently, with the help of IDS staff or through central and external HEOR partners. They will demonstrate the ability to guide project teams in multiple technical areas, and can successfully deal with ambiguity, build collaborative networks, and navigate conflict.
They are responsible for ensuring that assigned products/solutions have HEOR informed strategies, regional healthcare decision maker requirements are appropriately represented in evidence generation plans, and global tools meet local requirements.
They will demonstrate strong analytical skills including proficiency in cost-benefit and cost-calculator/ budget impact modeling, with basic skillset in cost-effectiveness modeling and analysis.
Deliver program level HEOR strategies that support product access and adoption objectives
Work collaboratively with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access colleagues to define customer value and evidence requirements; Support market shaping workshops to identify key value drivers and stakeholder needs
Drive evidence generation activities and plans in collaboration with the Regional Center of Excellence, Real World Analytics, and NPD Agile Teams, including chart review, burden analysis, systematic literature review, patient reported outcomes studies, surveys, observational and cohort studies, and retrospective database analyses
Link business goals and value messages to tactics and evidence generation planning
In collaboration with the HEOR central team:
Lead completion of global value dossiers, with basic skillset to support HTA submissions
Help shape and deliver HEOR projects that quantify unmet needs and drive issue awareness
Execute relevant HEOR tactics such as database analyses, chart reviews, real world evidence, health economic and budget impact models, and value dossiers
Engage with new product development (NPD) teams to develop HEOR strategy for priority NPD programs
Engage with external “Value and Access” KOLs to conduct research and gather insights to inform value creation and communication
Support global value communication tactics which may include development of training and education materials for tools that enable targeted and impactful customer engagement with regional/local field HEOR teams
Qualifications and Background
Master’s degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD/DO) in related field with 3+ years of experience conducting HEOR research (Related fields include: Health Services Research, Health Economics / Economics, Psychometrics, Health Policy and Public Health, Outcomes Research, and Pharmacy Administration)
Has substantial technical knowledge and extensive experience of planning and delivering HEOR programs, particularly launch deliverables, economic modelling and RWD studies
Action-oriented, customer-focused, with effective prioritization, goal-setting and time management skills and ability to manage projects autonomously
Competence in excel modeling and statistical analyses
Effective oral communication skills, including experience in teaching and training staff on the basic principles of health economic models
Effective interpersonal skills; projection of professional image and credibility; teamwork oriented and inclusive
Effective analytical/problem solving skills, including generation of original and innovative ideas and solutions
Demonstrated success in development and execution of product level HEOR strategies preferred
Medical device and diagnostics experience preferred
