Job Description Summary
BD is looking for a strong, dynamic marketer to drive growth in BD’s cervical cancer diagnostics franchise and support regional launches of transformational assays and instrument platforms. We need someone who can deliver results with our innovations today and prepare the market for our innovations tomorrow. The global marketing manager, WH&C and STI will be responsible for global downstream marketing within BD’s HPV, Vaginitis and STI portfolio in support of key core laboratory markets including the US, western Europe and select global markets. Reporting to the global Business Line Leader, he/she will work jointly with the business leader, WW downstream and upstream marketing teams, scientific and medical affairs, service, and regional marketing teams to develop and execute successful commercialization strategies for new products entering verification and validation, as well as life cycle management of on-market products. He/she will be responsible for developing key insights into market opportunities, creating solutions to commercial barriers, shaping the market for our solutions, and executing strategies to drive financial performance. He/she will be the brand owner for the BD Onclarity HPV, Vaginitis and STI assays while supporting the Core Laboratory customer segment for our global partners.
Develop a deep understanding of the WH&C and STI markets, including customer needs, market atlas, market trends, technology trends, clinical management, and reimbursement.
Manage the WH&C / STI brand, including identification, planning, and execution of market research, collateral, campaigns, and digital marketing (web and email) to drive brand awareness and value messages. Emphasis on development of marketing and sales solutions across the WH&C / STI portfolio of products, including BD Totalys instrumentation and BD SurePath Liquid Based Cytology managed by Marketing Manager within Business team.
Develop comprehensive market shaping plans for BD’s Core Molecular solution, including evidence generation and dissemination, reimbursement, customer and sales training, and KOL strategy.
Develop annual global marketing plan and set of global marketing and sales tools/assets to support regional commercialization.
Develop and roll out training on sales tools/assets to regional marketers, including training effectiveness checks.
Partner with regional marketing leaders to review customer targeting and sales funnels, monitor monthly financial performance, and proactively adjust marketing plans and tactics to meet strategic objectives and deliver on financial performance.
Collaborate with regional marketing leaders to plan and support key international conferences.
Develop deep knowledge of the customer experience from customer opportunity identification through implementation and support the regional marketing teams with strategies to maximize customer experience and time-to-revenue.
Partner with the WW upstream marketing team on a smooth hand off for launch plans and marketing deliverables for new products entering verification and validation
In collaboration with WW Upstream Marketing team determine and prioritize key unmet needs and opportunities, lead business cases development, and drive product and solution definition for future offerings.

Requires a BS (Life Science discipline strongly preferred), MBA in Marketing or Business is strongly preferred.
Requires seven-ten (7-10) years of marketing and/or sales experience. Preference for medical technology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry experience, with ideal experience including Women’s Health or infectious diseases
Strong business and financial acumen is desired.
Familiarity with US, ex-US reimbursement process beneficial.
Experience with Marketing Excellence initiatives is desired.
International work experience is preferred.
