Job Description SummaryThis position interfaces with BD/Bard International affiliates, freight forwarders, DCs, plants, resolves discrepancies and proactively identifies improvement opportunities. Monitors, measure, and reports key performance Indicators on adherence to regulations and procedures in the conduct of export.
Customer Service Representative must communicate with individuals at different levels in the organization. He/She must provide ongoing progress reports when needed, work with outside carriers, brokers, International BD Affiliates and internal departments to maintain and adjust a schedule for consistent process flow for documentation. This is needful and essential in order to ensure on time delivery and processing for all International BD Regions and Customers.
Job duties may include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the overview, adjust, cancel and entry of assigned international customer orders ensuring all information is complete as needed.
Sends the order acknowledgements as needed
Sends communication or arranges conference calls for the customer specifying if the customer has actions that must be completed prior to shipment or creation
Acts as the point of contact for all international customers. This includes answering or delegate customer issues or complaints to the appropriate team member(s)
Creates and monitors all rush order creations and additions for International customers.
Interacts with various departments such as Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Marketing, Logistics, etc., to ensure customer requirements are met.
Assist with training to new or inexperienced CSRs on international customer service processes and assistance where needed.
Delivery & Shipment Creation
Help to maintain internal BD Inquires for orders or shipments.
Customer service for all customers via email and phone calls.
Prepare Transportation documentation when needed.
Support other areas inside Transportation Department.
Is adaptable and available to accept new assignments, or assist in other areas or departments, as required.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledge of Export & Compliance Procedures
Knowledge of order entry methods and techniques. Proven data entry skills.
Adept at setting priorities, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. A strong background in a related international/export role may be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (export, logistics, customer service, etc).
Prior experience in a related industry (medical device, pharmaceutical).
Proficiency in standard business computer applications.
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
