Job Description Summary
As Senior Human Resources Manager, and a member of the executive plant leadership team, you will have the opportunity to impact change in a high visibility facility, with significant HR career advancement opportunities across BD geographies. This role has a blend of strategic and tactical responsibilities. Broken Bow Facility
The Broken Bow facility is among one of the largest producers of blood collection devices designed to support critical care and clinical applications around the world. B D is the inventor of BD Vacutainer® blood collection tubes as well as the global leader in blood tubes. Operational since 1960, the facility has expanded to 300,000 square feet and employs approximately 625 associates.
Key responsibilities will include:
Partners with leadership team as a strategic business partner to influence and collaborate on strategic initiatives, organizational design, engagement elevation, and HR planning.
Oversees recruiting efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition Shared Service.
Coaches management to resolve performance corrective action issues and owns the development of HR scorecard and metrics.
Maintains all HR related legal mandates, such as AAP, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc., and represents the company in legal matters.
Direct supervision of one Human Resource Generalist and indirect supervision of two administrative resources
Develops employee relations strategy, promotes “Great Place to Work” and maintains a union-free environment by leveraging associate engagement.
Manages Succession, Compensation, and Career Development Planning.
Develops, communicates, interprets and implements HR policies and participates in annual budget preparation.
About you: To be successful in this role, you require:
Minimum bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, at least 2 of which are above the generalist level. Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
Prior experience working with HR Centers of Excellence is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in creating HR strategies to support and advance overall business strategies.
Demonstrated experience and expertise in employee relations, legal compliance, staffing/workforce planning, labor law, and compensation; training and development, and organizational design experience is preferred.
