Organizational integration

The Position Commercial Development and Market Access Manager (m / f / d) reports to the General Manager Israel with dotted-line to our Senior Director Public Policy & Advocacy (AHS), Central and Eastern Europe. The position is located in Israel (remote).

Result requirements/objectives of the position

  • Identification and realization of sales and GP potential

  • Intensifying collaboration and establishing long-term customer loyalty in the assigned area of responsibility (selected 3-5 strategic customer groups and central hospital associations).

  • Liaison between Israel senior management and BDX Advanced Healthcare Services team, responsible for communicating information to the entire team.

Activities

  • The professional development, evaluation and use of information on the various sub-areas (and the connections between them) at the customer, in particular on process flows and decision-making structures

  • Building a network within the strategic customer groups (medical associations, HMOs, etc.)

  • Development and implementation of concepts to optimize value creation processes between BD and the customer

  • Planning, controlling and analyzing the sales and GP development for the assigned strategic key accounts as well as the development, coordination and implementation of suitable measures and programs to achieve goals

  • Regular information and reporting to the General Manager / management and the Senior Director Public Policy & Advocacy (AHS)

  • Regular collection and preparation of market information (trends, competitor behavior, products, services, etc.).

The Commercial Development and Market Access Manager (m / f/ d) is in a broader sense also responsible for conception and implementation of projects that aim to successfully introduce BD´s innovations and to develop the healthcare environment for existing solutions in Israel. The ideal candidate (m / f / d) is able to anticipate the need for market shaping projects, to actively manage the political environment and to successfully execute strategic projects. The main tasks and responsibilities can be summarized as follows:

  • Creating transparency of market access requirements and legal framework for innovative diagnostics, medical devices, digital medical devices, IT platforms and robotics in Israel

  • Active management of market access and market development projects in collaboration with the regional sales and marketing teams. Focus is on preparation and shaping of requirements for successful product launches and innovative technology adoption (e.g. influencing guidelines and reimbursement)

  • Networking and informal management of interdisciplinary project teams. Close collaboration with internal experts from HEOR, public policy and product management to align priorities and work streams and to prepare regular leadership reports

  • Influencing the political, social, technological and economic environment towards the subject of "patient safety" at regulatory and governmental levels

  • Active network activity with relevant opinion leaders for inpatient and outpatient health care (e.g. Ministry of Health, physician societies, medical chambers, medical technology associations)

  • Ensuring a high level of acceptance for BD's solutions by developing and delivering clinical and economic value messages to regulatory bodies and key influencers in the health care markets

  • Being hands-on business partner for BD´s sales and marketing teams in Israel to handle daily topics of health care politics and legislation

  • Participate in the BD Israel Management Team

Candidate profile and experience

The Commercial Development and Market Access Manager [m/f/d] is able to align different and competing interests towards a common goal, develops solutions and decisions together with others, actively participates in groups, provides information openly, in a timely manner and with determination.

A preferred candidate (m/w/d) comes with the following profile:

  • At least 2-5 years of professional experience in relevant positions and with proven success, in the medical field . ideally with initial management experience

  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory and political framework and environment in Israel .

  • Native speaker of Hebrew and business fluent in English

  • Ability to quickly familiarize with complex subject areas, to reduce them to what is necessary and to convert them into successful (commercially feasible) strategies

  • Hands-on mentality and sense of responsibility as well as willingness to travel

  • Excellent presentation skills
