BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Molding Setup Technician in Canaan, Connecticut
Job Description SummaryProvide technical support to Canaan molding unit.
Safely operate injection molding presses and associated equipment. Responsible for maintaining a clean, neat and organized work area. Responsible for adherence to ISO and GMP requirements. Responsible for safe mold pull and mold sets, material changes, auxiliary equipment setup and verification. Responsible for removal and re-installation of product containment and material handling systems. Responsible for changing filters on water units at mold change. Responsible for retrieval of molds from tool room rack, and return tools to tool room. Responsible for generation of last piece paperwork for tool room and pull last piece samples. Responsible for full cleaning of press. Goal – have press ready to sample and put into production. Responsible for proper waste water removal, maintenance and housekeeping of the waste water system area. Provide training, coaching and skill assessment in mold setting aspect. Write or update work instructions or job aides for new or modified processes as applicable.
