ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following:

  • Perform a variety of routine and complex duties in the manufacture of finished product including:

  • Operate custom manual and automated equipment

  • Performing in-process tests

  • Measure finished product

  • Assemble and package medical devices

  • Operate applicable departmental safety equipment

  • Recording manufacturing data

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Stock and replenish supplies as necessary

  • Cross training to perform work in other areas as needed

  • Works with chemical solutions during processing and testing

  • Perform routine operational maintenance, limited troubleshooting activities and calibration of equipment as required

  • Assist with debug and validation of processing equipment

  • Follows established manufacturing procedures, inventory control procedures and Quality System Regulations

  • Follow established Safety and Health Physics procedures and regulations

  • Informs Team Leader or Production Supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, processes or procedures

  • May lead or direct the workflow in the absence of Team Leader or Supervisor

  • May be tasked with training other associates on Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions or department policies

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance

  • Perform other duties as needed within the facility

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Basic computer skills

  • 2 years experience specific to BBI Manufacturing OR previous experience in an FDA regulated or production environment

Preferred

  • College degree

  • Experience handling small parts

  • Licensed User of radioactive materials

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to accurately understand and follow both oral and written instructions in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic mathematical abilities of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are required. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry are desirable.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written, or diagram form.Ability to solve practical job-related problems, or recognize the need to ask supervision for assistance.

  • Sitting and reaching into gloves in a glove box with both hands for extended periods of time

  • Handling of tweezers to pick up small parts

  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs from the floor to waist level

  • Able to reach around shielding to handle small parts

  • Adequate vision to be able to work with small parts
