The Logistics Specialist works in the Logistics Department and performs various responsibilities related to the supply chain operations. They will utilize personal computer applications, the ERP system and general office and warehouse equipment while performing job responsibilities. Functional areas of responsibility will include basic distribution, receiving, inventory picking and general warehouse operations in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), company policies and safety regulations

Position Summary:
The Logistics Specialist works in the Logistics Department and performs various responsibilities related to the supply chain operations. They will use personal computer applications, the ERP system and general office and warehouse equipment while performing job responsibilities. Functional areas of responsibility will include basic distribution, receiving, inventory picking and general warehouse operations in accordance with current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), company policies and safety regulations
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):
General duties in the Logistics area include:
Process outbound shipment paperwork
Pack and weigh outbound shipments
Conduct transactions in the ERP system and FedEx Ship Manager system.
Maintain and dispense products and raw materials from the release area
Handle inbound receipts
Clean up area
Follow established SOPs and Policies
Follow IEMA, DOT, IATA, and OSHA regulations
Clean and perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Stock and replenish supplies as required
Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA regulations for fork truck safety and maintenance
Assist Materials Manager/Planner in monitoring inventory levels
Follow established manufacturing procedures, inventory control procedures, and Quality System Regulations
Understand and follow the established corporate safety standard, local facility operating procedures and safety policies
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Ability to accurately understand and follow both verbal and written instructions in English
Basic mathematical abilities of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to work in areas that contain radioactive materials
Ability to lift 50lbs from floor to waist
Experience in distribution and receiving
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree or Specialized Education
Licensed forklift operator
Experience in MS Office
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must be able to lift 50lbs. from the floor to waist level.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee work area will be comprised of a warehouse/warehouse office environment. Shift work is required. Moderate noise levels exist.
