Job Description

The general function of this job is to setup, changeover, improve and maintain the production equipment condition such that quality and quantity standards are met or exceeded. Notch Cell Technicians are also responsible for coordinating/developing operators and providing on-the-floor leadership along with the shift coordinators.

Responsibilities

Responsible for set-up and maintenance for all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic logic equipment used in the notch cell production process. Responsible for equipment modification, adjustment, and installation as required. Responsible for monitoring performance of processes for output and waste levels. Responsible to provide leadership and ownership of process performance issues. Interfaces with other shifts to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Covers any gaps in technical coverage as needed. Interfaces with Engineering for process improvements. Reports directly to Production Coordinator and indirectly to Engineering manager.

  • Provide support and maintain all pneumatic and hydraulic logic equipment.

  • Provide support to perform preventive maintenance on the equipment as specified in the P.M. Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.

  • Provide support to operate equipment as directed by Departmental Supervisor.

  • Provide support to document process change.

  • Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are maintained.

  • Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information of equipment performance status, to include production and waste rates.

  • Provide training to any new Notch Cell Technicians

  • Provide leadership and ownership of process performance issues.

  • Provide leadership to other associates when troubleshooting process performance equipment.

  • Provide leadership to coordinate maintenance activities.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Ability to speak, read & write English

PCP Level: 4

Job Grade: JG1
