BD Urology and Critical Care a BD Company is seeking to fill the position of Associate Engineer, R&D Documentation in Covington, GA. Bard Medical has joined BD together, advancing the world of health.
The Associate Engineer, R&D Documentation works in the Research and Development Department and provides project administration assistance to the Home Care R&D NPD and SE group. This person works closely with all project leaders to ensure Design History File documentation is complete and entered into the electronic documentation management system (EDMS). This person also initiates technical documentation associated with projects and coordinates with team members to generate and finish technical document.
Administrative rights within the EDMS to load, release, and track documents specifically for R&D
Prepare, track and manage the Activity Planning Matrix for New Product Development Projects which are documents associated with the design history file.
Responsible for coordinating with Laboratory Managers chemical inventory, equipment calibration and audit readiness. Follows up with Audit Actions Plans and Effectiveness Verification requirements.
Performs tests and experiments in accordance with the requirements of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and\or Quality System Regulations (QSR).
Coordinates the annual review of R&D SOPs and Design Control DOPs.
Draft protocols, test reports, test methods and data summaries.
Detail oriented so that the candidate has the ability to organize multiple large work streams and coordinate using Visio or equivalent flow chart techniques.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal and written communications.
Sound organization and time management skills.
Strong listening skills
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong questioning & problem-solving skills.
BS degree in a technical field such as engineering or science.
0-2 years experience in consumer/medical product and process development is a plus.
Experience in word processing and Excel required.
Familiarity with technical writing and documentation.
