Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee procedures and programs to ensure Federal and State compliance with OSHA (including PSM), EPA, and GA EPD. To include, but not limited to:
Industrial Hygiene Programs, including medical monitoring
Sustainability reporting
Review of engineering projects for compliance
“Right to Know” programs, including chemical inventories and reporting
Facility Safety Committee
Incident Reporting/Worker’s comp programs
First Aid
Hazardous Waste
Clean Air Act
NPDES Permitting
Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks. This includes audits for compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, corporate policies and Divisional procedures.
Prepares reports to maintain records of compliance, site’s progress to maintaining a safe work environment and maintain reporting system(s) for data collection and trending
Complete required EPA/GA EPD/OSHA/BD reports for Environmental, Health and Safety Programs.
Issue safety finding and trending reports.
Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
Manage facility’s Emergency Response and Incident programs; to include:
Leading emergency response team
Schedule and complete training and drills
Lead incident investigation and corrective actions
Worker’s comp case management
Incident reporting

Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience:
An individual must be able to perform all essential job duties. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of three years’ experience in the implementation of environmental and occupational safety and health programs in a manufacturing environment
Experience interfacing with Regulatory Agency Personnel.
Strong knowledge of EPA, GA EPD and OSHA (including PSM) Regulations.
Professional Skills & Key Competencies:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
Desired / Additional Skills & Knowledge:
ASP/CSP Certification
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables
Microsoft Visio experience
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Root Cause analysis
Two years’ experience in a Process Safety Management site
