Job Description SummaryThis position is responsible for managing Distribution related projects, new product on-loads, testing, training and support of operational software used by the Distribution & Logistics group within Distribution Operations - primary platforms related to ERP and Warehouse Management Systems. Requirements include the ability to work effectively in a team environment and Subject Matter Expertise in all Covington Distribution Center (CDC) operational functions.

Responsible for overall master project plan for site and manages overall resources and escalates resource and project issues.
Responsible for facility Housekeeping, Maintenance and 3rd party supplier management to meet BD standards
Ability to coordinate and control the flow of project testing, documentation and implementation to its completion.
Act as on-site Subject Matter Expert for all distribution related functions
Perform User Acceptance and validation testing/prepare and execute validation scripts with documented evidence of completion.
Plans efficiency and utilization of the Covington Distribution Center’s equipment, ERP/WMS, materials and personnel to improve efficiency and safety of all operations.
Creates and designs plans for improved worker efficiency, waste reduction of materials, and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of capital.
Develops and maintains engineered labor standards for all areas of the CDC. Responsible for reporting on efficiency & utilization based on developed standards.
Develops and maintains a capacity model for the GDC as a whole including both control room temp and ambient storage areas.
Develops ROI presentations to review with management for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
Preparation of the Functional Requirements Specification for System Requests
Ensures compliance with the organization’s inventory control systems and techniques
Ensures compliance with all applicable company and government policies (specifically with FDA, OSHA)
Experience in GMP's/QSR's and ISO
Ensures the departmental procedures, SOP's and GMP's/QSR's are continuously updated on an as-needed basis and followed precisely
Create work instructions and training plans
Responsible for timely and accurate employee training
Ensures that job and system documentation is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures
Provide both internal and external agencies audit support – Quality/EHS/OSHA, etc.
Ability to trouble shoot system versus operational issues and determine which support group needs to resolve the issues such as WMS, ERP, PeopleSoft, Corporate DBA, local IT, etc.
Provide operational support for Hardware (RF devices and peripherals)
Provide operational support for Warehouse Advantage applications
Must possess strong leadership skills and ability to bring innovative improvements to organization
