WEEKEND SHIFT: SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY 6 AM - 6:30 PM
The following Duties and Responsibilities is the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive:
Responsible for employee work assignments in coordination with Distribution Management in area of responsibility.
Controls daily operations and monitors workflow within assigned area.
Conducts investigation of discrepancies and inconsistencies in Distribution processes.
Assist with identifying departmental process improvements.
Responsible for reporting daily performance metrics on employees to include any additional reporting requirements.
Responsible for inventory accuracy.
Responsible for employee training within assigned area to include training and reviewing SOP’s with employees.
Responsible for ensuring safety and security processes are followed.
Serves as Evacuation Coordinator according to the GDC Emergency Action Plan SOP for assigned area.
Ensures warehouse equipment is maintained and in good operating condition.
Ensures all Distribution related documentation is maintained in an orderly and accessible manner.
May be required to step in and assist with warehouse, forklift or clerk duties due to order deadlines and/or staff shortages.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Responsible for maintaining Housekeeping standards.
Performs other Distribution related functions/duties as assigned.

Must have knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems, i.e. JDE, Highjump and MFG-PRO systems.
Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills. Must be familiar with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
Knowledge of GMP/QSR and be able to develop techniques to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Good organizational and time management skills – must be able to multi-task.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and show initiative in making necessary and timely decisions to run an efficient operation.
Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be able to work well with other employees and direct their work activities as required.
Must have strong leadership abilities.
Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere.
Strong analytical skills.
Will be required to perform job tasks in any Distribution Team Leader job functions.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Forklift certification required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years’ college or equivalent work experience.
High school diploma or GED required. Three or more years of manufacturing, distribution or related work experience.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Express information clearly and in a logical manner.
- Performs basic math computations accurately.
Initiative to investigate and recommend solutions.
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, sitting, climbing, talking, hearing, finger movement that could involve picking, pinching, or typing, and use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers in form of repetitive motion.
The employee may occasionally be required to kneel, reach, push, pull, grasp, twist, and lift. Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.
The job is located on the warehouse floor with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. It is hot in the summer (no AC) and cold in the winter (very limited heating).
The job is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and work in high, precarious places.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
