The Acute Care Marketing Manager, US Region plays a crucial role in developing and driving the product portfolio strategy and contributing to the Acute Care business, achieving the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programs. This is a high visibility position managing a market-leading portfolio of Urologic Drainage disposables.

Reporting directly to the Associate Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will work and collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups including Global Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service and R&D. This role supports BD Acute Care’s US business.

The Marketing Manager will have a strong commercial aptitude, will contribute to the Annual Strategy Review (ASR) process and have shared responsibility in the development of analytical tools that support the portfolio. The role will also support new product documentation, launch execution, regional initiative deployment, field sales support and post-launch product lifecycle management to support accelerated growth of their assigned product portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute on all aspects of the product lifecycle for the assigned product portfolio

  • Lead the development and deployment of omnichannel marketing campaigns for assigned product portfolio to support sales objective

  • Provide accurate product forecasting to demand planning for assigned product portfolio

  • Build and maintain revenue forecasts within assigned categories for new product launches through product’s lifecycle

  • Build relationships with key customers and thought leaders

  • Identify and communicate market trends to management and upstream marketing team

  • Provide competitive product information and support to the sales team

  • Interface effectively with multi-disciplines, such as R&D, Customer Service, Customer Care, Sales, Medical Services & Support, Quality, Operations and Regulatory

  • Develop and implement product marketing plans to drive product growth and market penetration - including collateral and promotional material development, value proposition and pricing strategies

  • Develop and maintain quantitative market knowledge (e.g., market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative market data (e.g., customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies, and applications)

  • Assist in preparation of divisional Business Plans

  • Recommend product line modifications, extensions, new products, and product deletions to optimize product mix

  • Develop and support market research activities (Voice of Customer)

  • Conduct regular customer visits to develop awareness of the key market requirements, identify customer’s unmet needs and support the sales organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years Product Management experience in Medical Devices or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Life Sciences or Business/Marketing

  • Master’s or MBA preferred

  • Downstream Marketing experience preferred

  • Experience with CRM databases (e.g., SalesForce)

  • Familiarity with Medical Device Regulatory requirements

  • Experience leading successful, goal-oriented teams and projects

  • Strong Data Analysis skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Database software

  • Ability to travel 30% of the time
