Job Description SummaryThe Marketing Manager is responsible for both the tactical coordination and implementation of the global marketing programs for the BD UCC Endourology business. This individual is fully accountable for the achievement of key marketing functional goals in the US Region while influencing the development and execution of functional or product line plans in OUS Regions including but not limited to Japan, China, EMEA, Central & Southeast Asia, Canada, and Latin America. They will drive decisions or recommendations that impact sales and/or expense budget performance. In addition, identifying new approaches to communicate, reach, and position our solutions which will expand the opportunities is an essential part of the job requirements. The Marketing Manager demonstrates leadership within the Endourology Marketing Department, takes an active role in day-to-day operations, and a lead role in all downstream activities for the Endourology platform responsibility. # Job Description Responsibilities: + Manage all aspects of downstream marketing activities for BD UCC Endourology products to ensure the achievement of financial/budget expectations and product line strategies. + Creates, executes, and delivers competitively robust, practical plans aimed at accelerating growth, reducing cost, and maximizing profit. + Applies deep knowledge of the customer and selling processes to develop impactful sales messaging and related support tools and partners with the sales force for optimal deployment. + Develops segment-appropriate marketing communications plan that is on strategy, ensuring the communications vehicles and messages are adapted to each target segment, consistent with product/company branding and positioning. + Develops and manages methods/criteria to select, test and track the most effective, efficient, and innovative tools and programs; optimizes resources and ensures seamless execution to achieve goals. + Coordinates and leads integrated communication plans with agencies, from agency selection to creative briefs, encouraging innovation and implementation; measures reach and impact on target customers’ attitudes and behaviors. + Leads successful digital / e-marketing campaigns and integrates these with offline activities to create a seamless customer experience; manages relationships with and between digital agencies, other agencies, and internal stakeholders. + Support global commercial teams by providing leadership and support needed on relevant shared projects. + Leads and works seamlessly with cross-functional partners to develop, support, and implement plans; achieves / exceeds goals by steadfastly pushing for results, being bottom-line oriented and focusing on essential tasks. + Organizes, automates, and synchronizes business processes (commercial activities, customer service, technical support) to win new customers, retain existing and regain former ones while optimizing marketing costs and customer services. + Leverage industry events to maximize investments Key skills and competencies: + Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders. + Strong initiative and accountability to self and others. + Establish a brand for yourself as a reliable, highly effective and positive collaborator by management and cross-functional partners + Analytical ability + Strategic thinking + Presentation skills + Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers + Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills + Attention to detail + Ability to handle complexity and manage several tasks at one time Required knowledge and experience + Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred + Minimum of 5-7 years of business experience in the life science industry, medical device experience preferred + Minimum of 5 years in product and/or marketing management. Experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development + Experience as the primary author on sales collaterals and launch campaigns with expertise in creating compelling messaging and ensuring brand consistency + Proven leadership experience in directing successful product launches: including writing and executing the marketing plan. + Experience in identifying Brand Strategy, Market Segmentation, Targeted Marketing, Competitive Analysis, Buying Processes, Post-Launch Metrics, Customer-Centric Communications, Selling Messaging and Communications and KPI Management. + Ability to travel 10-20% BD and Covid-19: To ensure the safety of our associates, BD supports remote work where possible. This position is based in the listed location, but is remote-based due to Covid-19.
