Job Overview:

The Ambulatory Surgery Centers Sales Consultant will manage a territory base while driving additional sales of the BD products used in the ambulatory surgery setting. In this role the candidate will need to use a balanced selling approach that involves focus on key differentiating programs and services within the infection prevention space, as well as selling clinically differentiated hemostasis products and minimally invasive surgical instrumentation, while working collaboratively with internal acute-care reps and distributor partners.

This role will focus on selling to physicians, clinicians, administrators, materials management, infection control, and other key decision makers in a surgery center.

With infection prevention and hemostasis, this position requires the ability to handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product label indications and sales training methodology.

In the surgical instrumentation space, this position requires the ability to understand and demonstrate the surgical use of instrumentation during surgery, while building excellent customer relations with key physicians, SPD, and surgery center personnel.

Expectations also include a managed pipeline, forecasted performance, and execute the selling cycle in a manner that is concise, professional, ethical which leads to increased sales and a better customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • A minimum of 2 – 3 years of relevant sales experience is required.

  • Operating room sales/medical device experience is preferred.

  • Documentation of successful sales performance is required.

  • The ability to work in an operating room environment is required.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.

  • Must be able to travel frequently; up to 50%, as needed including overnights.

  • Must live within the assigned territory

The anticipated compensation range for this position is 73,900.00 - 121,900.00 USD Annual and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
