Job Description Summary
An exciting time to join the BD Continuous Improvement team based in Drogheda, Co Louth. The Production Continuous Improvement Practitioner is key in leading the implementation of the BD Production System (BDPS) principles and framework and creating a culture of engagement.
The BD Continuous Improvement Practitioner is a primary point of contact to lead and mentor teams, sites and Business Units through an effective change process to achieve operational excellence.
The Practitioner shares ownership of meeting and exceeding business performance goals in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & People Engagement (SQDC+P) by engaging the talents of all associates through collaboration .
The Practitioner works directly with steering and component teams at the site to educate, communicate and deliver business results using concepts, methodologies and tools defined by the Production System.

Responsibilities
Teach, coach and demonstrate proficiency in BDPS concepts and systematic approach, including core components and all related methodologies / tools.
Support ‘Change to Win’ goals by identifying, leading and supporting Focused Improvement Activities in collaboration with Associates.
Use effective change management techniques to drive and support culture and mindset shifts at all levels in the organization.
Influence leaders to fully support and demonstrate expected behaviors to successfully deploy and sustain the BD Production System.
Create and maintain a robust, consistent governance model to sustain results and standards utilizing a Tiered Management System (TMS)
Oversee component progress and results as outlined in the BDPS Deployment Plan.
Clearly communicate the Production System plan, progress and successes; escalate issues and roadblocks.
Regularly engage with expanded network of practitioners across BD; sharing best practices and benchmarking.
Develop capabilities and support autonomy of other practitioners at various levels.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science or closely related field required with a minimum of three to five years industrial experience.
Formal WCM, Six Sigma, TPS or Lean related training required, with at least two years of experience of a successful implementation of the chosen methodology.
Proven success deploying and sustaining a production system and/or significant change management effort aligning to knowledge, skills and abilities listed above, required
