The Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading the deployment of Continuous Improvement in the plant through utilising Lean, Problem Solving and Six Sigma skills in a high volume, fully automated manufacturing environment producing Pen Needle products.


  • This role will lead and support the execution of process improvement initiatives within the plant.

  • Manages and tracks continuous improvement projects focused on cost, waste and reliability to successful completion utilising effective control plans to sustain improvements.

  • Executes process improvement projects through identification of problem areas or opportunities and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors.

  • Provide training and coaching to all associates on continuous improvement, Problem Solving Methodologies, Process Optimisation, Lean and Six Sigma Tools.

  • Champions a structured data-based problem-solving approach across all plant functions.

  • Conducts benchmarking to identify and adopt best practices from within and outside the BD network.

  • Ensures that all activities are fully compliant with Business Safety and Quality Policies.

The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years experiences in Continuous Improvement and operational excellence experience within an automated, high volume manufacturing environment. with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Ideally you will have experience in Lean techniques: 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management/Tier Meetings, TPM and strong data analysis skills and experience applying Six Sigma and structured problem-solving approaches.
