Job Description Summary

We are recruiting a Process Engineer on a 3-year FTC to join our team in Dun Laoghaire to support the introduction of High-Volume Manufacturing Equipment, including vendor management, installation, process development and validation of the equipment.

Job Description

As Process Engineer , you will manage the completion of multiple concurrent projects within the development engineering function from concept to completion.

You will;

  • Support the introduction of new equipment and processes including debugging, acceptance trials, process development, final validation and ramp.

  • Proactively manage vendor from design through to the acceptance phase of the project, ensuring workmanship and performance are of the highest standards.

  • Execute process improvements through identification of problem areas/opportunities and collaboration with internal groups and external vendors.

  • Engage with vendors on the design, development and evaluation of processes and equipment requiring novel and innovative approaches in technology.

  • Liaise with Quality and R&D teams in the introduction of new equipment and development of NPI and CI projects.

  • End to end project management for assigned projects including developing detailed project plan, tracking project, identifying/managing risks, tracking budget spend and updating stakeholders as required.

  • Plan, execute and analyse experimental builds, ensuring product specification and project goals are met.

  • Support any Technology Transfer activity, including planning, execution, validation and ramp of equipment.

  • Design-in health, safety and environmental best practice and ensure that all work is completed in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

  • Ensure any Intellectual Property aspects of development are identified and protected in conjunction with the Corporate Legal group.

  • Support above activity through multi-week travel assignments.

The successful candidate will have a Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and will have the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

You will have post qualification experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment within a regulated industry. Other experience that will be required for this role includes:

  • Management of high-speed automation projects.

  • A proven ability to deliver projects from concept through to completion.

  • Must possess good attention to detail and flexibility of approach to work.

  • Introduction of new products/ technical transfers.

  • To be computer literate to include (but not limited to) all aspects of MS Office, MS Project and Autocad.

  • Effective oral and written communication skill set. Requires proficient presentation and technical writing abilities.
