Hazardous Waste Technician:

Under general supervision, coordinates project involving hazardous waste and other chemicals safety issues. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities are listed but not limited to:

  • Collect all hazardous waste from the 72 satellites located in the building

  • Maintain accurate inventory from (UN) metal drums, (UN) yard boxes, totes and recycling boxes.

  • Maintain records of all hazardous waste Pickups (COD, COT and manifest).

  • Ordering and maintain Spill Kits equipment.

  • Maintain waste records to our City and States Profiles (Resource Adviser and Steer).

  • Signing Manifest

  • Weekly audits for central storage and satellites.

  • Coordinating with waste management companies for recycling and metal scrap trailer.

  • Maintain central storage log updated.

  • Cardboard baler operator/ pallets segregation process.

Position requirements:

  • High School diploma or experience

  • Forklift operator license

  • RCRA/ DOT certification

  • OSHA training

  • Chemistry basic knowledge

  • Computer oriented (excel, word)

  • Teamwork methodology

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Good on following GMP

  • Work well under pressure

  • Work on Weekends.
