Job Description SummaryA material handler supports manufacturing of product by pulling orders from inventory; delivering production materials and supplies; staging finished product.

Job Description

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory in WMS/SAP.

Receives return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent also required.

  • Minimum of 2 ½ years of warehousing experience

  • Valid forklift operator’s license

  • Knowledgeable in SAP inventory systems

  • Basic math skills

  • Be able to lift 30 lbs.

  • Flexible hours to support business needs (overtime)

  • Able to work in a team environment and take direction from Leads

  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.

  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and conduct all activities in a manner that promotes a safe environment.

  • All injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards or conditions must be reported immediately.

  • Report any suspicious persons or activity.

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands or fingers. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas but not all.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, and extreme weather conditions. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). Occasionally the position will have exposure to fumes/airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
