Engr, Process is responsible for implementation of project and process support activities toward attainment of department and plant goals. Primary focus areas are process optimization, waste reduction, quality improvement and capacity expansion programs. Supports Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality in capital equipment and process modifications, their physical installation and process/product validations.

Main Responsibilities:

Process Engineering is responsible for analyzing and assessing in-house processes to improve capability, assets utilization and reduce costs.

Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Independently analyzes moderately complex technical process problems and implements resolution, in collaboration with Maintenance, Manufacturing and Quality

  • Involves Engineering department when the resolution of problems requires their intervention

  • Participate in process/product validation

  • Recommends machine improvements and capital equipment projects.

  • Support to realization of budgeted cost reductions and productivity improvements

  • Sponsors and supports the implementation of continuous improvement principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending and executing changes in training, working practices and processes

  • Analyze and improve work flows within and across departments

  • Review the KPI monitoring systems, verifies and and improve their ability to describe operations performances

  • Main Processes:

  • Process/Product validation protocol

  • Support to the design and implementation of machine improvements

  • Support to realization of budgeted cost reduction

  • Productivity improvements

  • Liaison with equipment and tool suppliers Qualifications:

  • Batchelor degree or equivalent experience in related field required

  • Master degree preferred

  • 5+ years related work experience required

  • Demonstrated success in achieving process improvements along with good financial acumen applied to assets technical management, and strong project management

  • Good math and statistical analysis skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Focused target driven with a positive, can-do attitude Additional Qualifications

  • The specific training required for this job title is listed in the related training matrix

  • Lean/Six Sigma certification required

  • Project Management certification preferred
