Athena 2 Program: Mission & Purpose

The Athena 2 Program is aiming to replace current Legacy ERP & ERP Satellite systems as well as to deliver new solutions to address current and future business needs. It is the transformation of our Quote to Cash (QTC) solutions and transitioning to a more customer centric QTC solutions and operating model.

Opportunity Summary

The role of the Athena 2 - Business Reporting Workstream Lead Supply Chain is to serve as the person responsible for driving the design, delivery and deployment of the Athena 2 Program in EMEA for the Technical Services Reporting Workstream.

This individual will serve as a point person to the Athena 2 program leadership for the Technical Services Reporting workstream and will lead a team of TGS professionals to define, plan and execute all the activities required to:

  • Drive the requirement capture and solution design for the Technical Services Reporting workstream

  • Identify the impact on existing reporting (global as well as reports delivered as part of W1) of changes implemented as part of Athena 2 W2.

  • Build the solution – including the integration with peripheral systems of source systems (example ServiceMax, SalesForce, etc.) and security

  • Test the solution, including SIT, OQ/PQ, Performance Testing, Day In The Life, etc.

  • Support the training of Super Users in relation with report owners

  • Define and execute the Cutover plan, including Data Migration and Ramp up / Ramp down activities

  • Hypercare support, as well and managing the subsequent transition to business-as-usual support after Hypercare.

The scope will include to work in close relationship with all major business functions : Finance, Commercial, Technical Services, Supply Chain, Procurement, EH&S and management reporting. Supporting Commercial Excellence

This leadership position reports directly to the Athena 2 TGS Lead. The position will functionally report to TGS BI Corporate Services Business Partner to ensure adherence to BD policy and alignment with BD BI roadmap and initiatives. – Customer facing, finance and Interco.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The objective of this role is to actively partner with the Business Reporting stakeholders to deliver the workstream’s requirements, both functional and non-functional.

Primary responsibilities in partnership with business counterpart will include:

  • Solution Design

  • Leads Business and technical requirements capture, and ensures they’re addressed via the solution design, in accordance to BD’s policies and roadmaps.

  • Solution Build

  • Ensure solution technical delivery, as per design and following BD’s technical and functional standards.

  • Testing, Validation & Compliance

  • Contributes to the definition of the overall testing and validation plan, including SIT, UAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, Performance and Volume testing, Security, etc. following the BD corporate guidelines

  • Leads – at workstream level - the technical aspects of testing execution, including defect resolution

  • Training

  • Supports training execution, by ensuring all necessary technology components and resources are available to the training teams

  • Data Migration

  • Contributes to the definition of the overall Data Migration plan, following the BD Corporate guidelines and practices

  • Leads – at workstream level - the technical aspects of all Data migration cycles, ensuring system and technical resources availability, as well as technical defect resolution.

  • Cutover

  • Contributes to the definition of the Cutover approach plan at workstream level, with an emphasis on Technical Cutover and Release Management

  • Co-leads the overall cutover execution for the workstream

  • Leads the Technical Cutover activities for the workstream

  • Supports the Business Go-live activities for the workstream

  • Oversees Technical aspects of Data Migration related to the workstream

  • Hypercare

  • Contributes to the definition the Hypercare support approach and plan, including technical resourcing for the workstream

  • Provides progress report on technical ramp up and acts as an escalation point for technology issues for the workstream.

  • Co-Chairs the Hypercare meeting cadence for the workstream, reporting to Senior Leadership progress and incident status

  • Owns the Transition to Support process for the workstream ensuring successful completion of predefined milestones, as per BD’s methodology.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, both business and technology experience, exceptional relationship building skills and solution-oriented mindset together.

In addition, this person should also possess:

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Service Management / Customer service functionality, including:Data Analytics and Insights including experiences of :

  • Complex program implementation, following waterfall approach and release managementMaster Data

  • Implementation of reporting use cases from various business functions (Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain ideally)

  • Service notificationsSAP BW/4 implementation

  • Data Flow and PowerBI implementation

  • Warranty management

  • Service orders / Service contracts

  • Repair order management

  • Integration with other SAP modules: Fixed Assets, Purchasing, etc.

  • Integration with 3rd party systems like ServiceMax, SalesForce, etc.

  • Ability to influence and break down silos within an organization as well across organizations

  • Ability to map joint organizational vision and long-term thinking, imagination, and idea generation

  • Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner

  • Must be a leader who can influence stakeholders in written and oral communications

  • Must have experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies and have the ability to formulate new programs to generate excitement and engagement

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement and project management approaches, tools, and phases

  • Exceptional ability to lead change using positive and collaborative methods

  • Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Master’s degree highly desirable.

Educational certificate or training in a process methodology is a plus.
