Job description

As a Customer Care Engineer you are responsible for the maintenance of Lab Automation Equipment of a group of customers in the to your assigned region according to agreements/SLA’s and protocols. The assigned work shall be carried out with consideration of pre-requirements regarding safety, environment, and quality.

Subsequently you will be assisting with the installation of new equipment.

Core activities include

  • Installation of Lab Automation Equipment

  • Performing a Laboratory Check (presence of local services and resources, accessibility, etc.) in accordance with protocol in close consultation with the Project Manager.

  • Solving outstanding issues after the installation of the equipment, during a test week

  • Conduct Preventive / Corrective Maintenance and inform and align with the Lab Manager about the upcoming tasks.

  • Spare Parts Stock management at customer sites and inform any shortages to the responsible person in the service department.

  • Writing detailed Service Reports of finished maintenance in the Service Management System.

  • Providing technical (basic) training to Customer Front Line Engineers.

  • Observe and monitor the regulations regarding quality / ISO, safety and environment.

You’ll love our position if you have / are…

  • Bachelor degree in Mechatronics or equivalent.

  • A minimum of3 years relevant work experience as FSE / CCE

  • Work with computer systems and applications and databases. PLC experience is a pre.

  • It is a pre to have knowledge of the processes in microbiological laboratories.

  • Knowledge of mechatronics and machine control.

  • Good command of the English and French language (speaking and writing)

Remaining requirements:

  • Occasionally travel for shorter or longer period in the WEU / EMA region.

  • Willingness to participate in the phone support duty to our customers on a rotating base.

  • Maintenance activities can take place outside the normal working hours and occasionally during weekends.

  • During an installation, working more than 8 hours is possible.
