The position will report to the Director, Ethics & Compliance – EMEA, who manages the Ethics & Compliance function for the EMEA region. You will manage the day-to-day tasks related to driving compliance risk management within the North Europe markets, including supporting development and maintenance of compliance tools and resources (including but not limited to policies, procedures, and training).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader in Ethics & Compliance and provide compliance risk management oversight and guidance to colleagues in the North Europe markets.

  • Oversee a comprehensive compliance strategy and operational approach to establish a culture of accountability and compliance in the North Europe markets.

  • Serve as compliance resource support to North Europe market business leaders, sales distributor leaders, and other relevant management personnel on compliance and third party compliance risk matters.

  • Provide compliance-related insights and metrics for communication to relevant Regional Compliance Committees and other applicable committees.

  • Provide regular updates on compliance risk management to the Director, Ethics & Compliance – EMEA and appropriate cross functional stakeholder groups within the North Europe markets (e.g., legal, internal audit, finance, regulatory, HR, investigations functional stakeholders).

  • Proactively understand the evolution of the compliance requirements and enforcement landscape in the North Europe markets to pre-emptively address and mitigate compliance risks.

  • Support the Director, Ethics & Compliance – EMEA (and other appropriate Ethics & Compliance stakeholders as necessary) in executing EMEA regional compliance risk assessments.

  • Support the Director, Ethics & Compliance – EMEA (and other appropriate Ethics & Compliance stakeholders as necessary) in the development and implementation of the strategic direction for compliance activities within the North Europe markets based on the risk assessment results.

  • Coordinate with the appropriate market-level stakeholders to leverage risks identified in risk assessments to diagnose potential gaps in existing compliance approach; update tools and resources accordingly.

  • Coordinate with the Director, Ethics & Compliance – EMEA (and other relevant stakeholders as necessary) to develop, implement and maintain the following:

  • Compliance trainings in the North Europe markets that focus on healthcare compliance, third party compliance risks, relevant laws, and company policies and procedures.

  • Effective compliance communication program within the North Europe markets

  • Market-level compliance policies and procedures for the North Europe markets

  • Support Ethics Investigations personnel and other relevant stakeholders in ensuring effective management and resolution of investigations by providing compliance subject matter expertise in support of investigations in the North Europe markets.

  • Provide subject matter input and support the relevant Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring and Process stakeholders in the development and implementation of the North Europe markets’ auditing and monitoring plans and reviewing outputs of activities to drive continuous risk identification and remediation.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • 5+ years of experience, ideally with compliance and business process experience.

  • Experience in a global life sciences corporation (medical device or pharmaceutical) is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience communicating with individuals at various levels and functions within an organization, including senior management.

  • Solid analytical and conceptual skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, exercise independent judgment and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under significant deadline pressures.

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.
