The essential function of this marketing role is to develop and drive the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business strategy, and help the European Region achieve the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market development, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programmes.
You would be responsible for managing the product portfolio selection, service offering and value proposition for kit packers and pharmaceuticals partners.
Support the implementation of the European product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning and product promotion
In conjunction with the country product managers, develop market specific strategies and tactics to ensure that BD MDS B2B is well positioned for success e.g. providing clear direction on the relevant value and product positioning to drive category share gains
Interface with European and Global Marketing Teams to share information and update with market data, product developments and market specific strategic and tactical plans
Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g. market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative data (e.g. customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies and applications); recommending suitable actions to maximise opportunities and minimise potential threats to the non-acute MDS business
Is the industry expert for all technology related environment needs
Support the Field Sales team with product information, technical expertise and contribute to product training initiatives as appropriate
Analyses customer needs and business challenges and recommends the appropriate future product and service directions to the European Business
Analyses potential partnerships and opportunities with third party vendors
Develop pricing strategies in accordance with the BD overall company objectives and goals
Conduct regular customer visits to develop awareness of the key market requirements / customer unmet needs
Collaborate and work effectively with the European marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and the cross-functional teams, such as, clinical, regulatory, supply chain and manufacturing
Contribute effectively to cross-business projects, as appropriate

Business and financial acumen, including modelling and forecasting
Field communication – supporting the sales team and attending customer meetings as required
Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth knowledge of the business, industry and European markets
Ability to manage priorities
Ensures budgets and schedules meet business requirements
Degree level qualification or equivalent
Significant experience within the healthcare environment, including proven marketing experience
Good understanding of Pharma production environment
Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and completing work
Ability to work in a matrix organization
Be able to demonstrate progressive achievements across a multidisciplinary environment
Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
Self-motivated with a desire for self-development
Experience in similar pharma roles is a plus.
Experience in increasingly responsible positions in marketing
European marketing experience preferred
Good strategic marketing skills, including demonstrated success in launching new products
Fluent in English
Prepared to work away from home for up to 40% of the time
