About the role

This new role reports to the Vice President Quality EMEA. The Quality Director owns the Go-To-Market Quality Operations and builds the function as a true business partner to the EMEA Commercial Organization. Participating in identifying and leading quality initiatives in the different countries within EMEA will be key to success. It will be equally important to be the voice of customers for all products sold in the Regions and show a dedication to excellence, meeting or exceeding both internal and external customer expectations.

The role leads a team of 5 and an overall team of 30+ employees based in the regional hubs/countries as well as the Quality Regional Documentation Center based in Wroclaw, Poland. Key internal partners include EMEA business leaders, country GMs and functional leaders/partners (e.g., RA, Legal, HR, finance, Medical leaders etc.).

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating and owning the implementation of one Quality Management System in accordance with BD strategy. Ensuring that the quality system remains updated to reflect any change in regulatory requirements.

  • Implementing the ISO Certification strategy within EMEA in line with the vision defined by Corporate Quality.

  • Promoting a strong focus on prevention; re-branding Quality to emphasize the focus on compliance, operational excellence and efficiency.

  • Reviewing and supervising corrective action(s) related to any customer complaint(s) arising from the sale of products, regardless of where they are sourced or produced

  • Supervising significant quality issues and vital corrective actions that may have been discovered during the course of audits, working with your leader and the BD Segment and BU/platform Quality Manufacturing Directors.

About you

We are looking for a senior professional with demonstrated ability in quality management, including compliance management experience in Competent Authority regulated environments. Ideally, you have worked in Medical Devices, though we are open to applications coming from Pharma.

A strong leader, you have experience managing multi-cultural teams executing locally in different countries. You are a solution seeker and always focus on process improvement across multiple projects. Strong communication skills enable you to optimally present information to management, groups and/or customers as well as work through others. Finally, we seek candidates with strong intellectual curiosity and pursuit of knowledge who like to cultivate new insights and are comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty.
