Job Description SummaryThe Marketing Manager acts as a marketing lead for the Alaris System pump sets portfolio, with accountability for the product and portfolio management, operational execution and related aspects of commercial excellence. The candidate is expected to drive critical business initiatives and to effectively operate within the BD matrixed organization to deliver impactful results. # Job Description BUSINESS OVERVIEW The Infusion Delivery business platform is accountable for the product portfolio at the intersection of MMS and MDS business units, providing users with a range of dedicated consumables used to deliver various infusion therapies through infusion pumps. As such, the platform operates in close collaboration with other MMS and MDS platforms, regions, and functions to optimize product and system performance, quality and patient safety and to deliver best possible experience to our customers. JOB DESCRIPTION The Marketing Manager acts as a marketing lead for the Alaris System pump sets portfolio, with accountability for the product and portfolio management, operational execution and related aspects of commercial excellence. The candidate is expected to drive critical business initiatives and to effectively operate within the BD matrixed organization to deliver impactful results. MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Acts as a steward for the assigned portfolio, developing and executing product lifecycle management strategies inclusive of product roadmaps, portfolio rationalization and other activities in alignment with instrument platform and regional marketing teams + Serving as marketing core team member on product engineering and cost optimization projects, driving execution with all regions accordingly. + Ownership for Alaris System portfolio business analytics including key performance metrics, related dashboards and preparation for e.g. business reviews. Serves as go-to person for all matters related to portfolio performance + Continuously monitors demand/supply situation and participates in S&OP meetings to ensure adequate customer service levels. Marketing representative on global and regional supply chain projects to improve demand anticipation. + Supporting new product development projects to ensure product, commercial, organizational and market readiness in preparation for product launch + Communicates routinely and proactively to the Leadership Team and other business/project governance bodies on progress and potential issues with portfolio projects, identifying acceleration and risk mitigation opportunities SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES + Result-orientation, personal accountability and high integrity, willingness to speak up and constructively challenge + Ability to operate with limited supervision, effectively prioritizing workload and influencing others to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities + Working knowledge of key marketing concepts and processes, experience in marketing planning and execution and new product introductions + Solid analytical skills acumen. Comfortable working with (raw) data, developing and maintaining KPIs and dashboards + Good communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical information both up and down the organization + Demonstrated project and cross-functional team leadership skills, ability to deliver on commitments in complex matrix organization + Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to influence without authority, diverse cultural perspective and global mindset + Bias for action, courage to drive through change and reputation for getting things done + Passion to “advance the world of health” EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Discipline; MBA highly preferred + 3-5 years’ experience in a marketing, strategy, product management or related discipline within healthcare, medical device and/or related industry + Fluency in English, add languages will be considered as plus and high computer literacy (MS Excel etc) LOCATION + Candidate expected to be based in US # TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS + Up to 20% travel Becton, Dickinson and Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
