About the role

Reporting to the WW Vice President Quality MDS, the role supports the development and implementation of the business strategic quality plans in collaboration with the respective WW Infusion Disposables (WWISD) platforms, Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) and Diabetes Care (DC) Quality teams (approx. $2bn revenue in the region).

You collaborate with business and corporate compliance leaders to ensure that the strategic quality plans are well implemented and adequately support compliance activities and priorities, as well as current Quality Management strategic themes.

You lead Plant Quality Leaders within the manufacturing sites and an overall team of 580 associates. You are responsible for assuring that the organizational structures, responsibilities, procedures, processes, and resources are adequate to meet the needs of the businesses and to conform to all regulatory requirements, including adopted industry standards (US and European) and BD Corporate Quality and Regulatory Compliance Policies.

Other key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a strategic quality plan defining the quality practices, resources, and activities relevant to the products manufactured, with strong attention for developing and maintaining high-performing underlying processes.

  • Championing the enabling of continuous process and product improvement using Six Sigma and Lean internal Programs.

  • Assuring that team members are trained to adequately perform their responsibilities (in-plant handling of representatives from the FDA, CE, ISO, registrars, notified bodies and other government or independent agencies.)

  • Harmonizing the key initiatives within the WW Quality organization

  • Remediating significant issues relating to quality performance related to manufacturing as well as the distribution process.

About you

You bring a robust experience as a leader in Quality Assurance/Control, Statistical analysis, FDA QSR’s (21 CFR Part 820), lean manufacturing, risk management (ISO 14971), and ISO/EC requirements (MDD/MDR, MDSAP, CMDR, ISO 13485, J-PAL).

You also benefit from knowledge and application of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 210-211 and European/US GMPs related to medical device and pharmaceutical manufacture. Experienced in project management, you have led cross-regional key initiatives and have a proven track record in managing by influence.
