Job Description SummaryTechnical Consultant for the Win10 Program to support our CW workforce and drive standardized process and quality. # Job Description Department Overview The BD Professional Services Department manages, plans and coordinates the implementation of the Medication Management Solutions. # The Technical Consultant Professional Services is experienced with the implementation of Medication Management Systems ranging from small to multi-facility Hospital level. This involves customer interaction and relationship development at the Pharmacy/Stakeholder level. In addition, the TCPS guides the implementation process through demonstrated expertise of all technical processes of Medication Dispensing Systems.The TCPS effectively partners with onsite resources to ensure implementation standards, overall system health and best practice processes are consistently applied and completed with quality in preparation of timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction. The TCPS is a mentor for both customers and internal team members. Technical Small to multi-facility Hospital level workflow design and equipment configuration/verification, staging application preparation, network configuration and remote support setup, troubleshooting, Health Check reviews and sign-off, host conversions, implementation process improvement and oversight. Accountable for timely execution of remote equipment configuration verification, staging and security setup activities in support of the onsite lead for dispensing implementations and order expansions. Remotely assess, implement and support hardware system level configuration, security, remote access and overall system health. Demonstrates an understanding of hospital level pharmacy/clinical workflow processes, IT & pharmacy system integration, clinical device settings and active directory. Interprets pharmacy and clinical pre-implementation assessments to ensure the technical solution is integrated with future state design. Provides technical guidance and strategies in support of pre-sale, transition to support, post implementation review engagements and managing implementation documentation and methodologies in accordance with governance practices. Installs and supports BD Medication Systems Dispensing software. Communication Proven customer relationship-building skills conducive to retaining long term business relationships accompanied by strong professional verbal / written communication skills, follow through and administrative accountability. Ability to interact, collaborate with and guide diverse cross-functional teams. Establish and adhere to project communication cadence with onsite lead, project manager, team, stakeholders and deliver concise and consistent communication. Accountable for early customer engagement to review equipment/drawer/bin configuration options and verify post RISCC equipment level design decisions for product ordering readiness. Facilitates and leads remote technical calls, provides troubleshooting strategies, recommendations for process improvement and drives best practice locally/nationally. Actively participates in the review of customer technical assessments, project design and implementation of BD Medication Systems Dispensing products and technologies. Administrative Coordinates client resources and assign project tasks. Ability to actively lead projects when required. Strong time management skills with the ability to maintain numerous priorities and meet established deadlines. Education or Equivalent: Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5 years equivalent education and work experience. Experience or Equivalent: + Familiarity with HIS/PIS systems and pharmacy and nursing workflow. + Five or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications. + Must have a working knowledge of supporting applications including, but not limited to, SAP, Salesforce, Bomgar, SecureLink, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite with a proficiency in OneNote and Excel preferred. + Proprietary working knowledge with Aria and RSS preferred. + General understanding of networking and interface applications. + Medication Systems Dispensing product knowledge and a high level of exposure to and understanding of solution design decisions. + Experience with large health systems required. + Requires frequent travel 50% +, including some weekends, and access to a major airport. Preferred Certifications: Pharmacy Technician, Informatics, Information Technology, Networking, Software Development Physical/Mental Requirements: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
