Job Description SummaryReporting to the Global Associate Director Supply Chain this position will convene and coordinate the Global “Demand Planning Work Team” and, jointly, be accountable to meet/exceed the key metrics targets established for the Region by Business.
The Global Demand Planner will play an active role in translating the key element of the business strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet the service and objectives across all regions.
As the owner of the Global Demand Planning Process for the Businesses, this role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the monthly Demand Consensus (monthly through to long range demand planning) for the Business / Platform by actively engaging the Marketing and Finance community as key participants in the process.
In the role, this position will work with Key Sales and marketing members, provide guidance and coordination in key areas of Demand Planning processes to ensure consistency and high performance regionally. The incumbent will lead the aggregation of Regional Demand for the Businesses and timely provide the information to all the relevant processes (WW Demand Review, Global MBR ).
Process owner for the US Demand Planning Process for assigned Platform / Business.
Manage the Key Metrics/Forecast Accuracy for the region to attain the highest level of performance for the assigned Business regionally.
Actively contribute and support the development and implementation of the Global Business Strategy in the Demand Planning functional area
Manage communication and coordination across US Marketing and Finance areas, as well as, across Regional Demand Planners assigned to the respective Business.
Facilitate the WW Demand Review, and Regional SIOP meetings for the Platform and ensure timely collation of the appropriate information required for the forums.
Coordinate and facilitate Worldwide Supply Chain Key Initiatives to accomplish best of class forecast accuracy in the Regional Businesses and provide support in meeting goals across all other key Supply Chain Metrics
Coordinate activities in the creation of a 3-5 year (long term) Demand plan for the Regional Businesses.
Establish work processes for continuous improvement in the Regional Demand Planning area using Six Sigma and Best Practice benchmarking methodology.
Required a minimum of 3 years Demand and Planning experience with a demonstrated knowledge of broader Supply Chain concepts and "Best Practices."
Strongly preferred a BS / BA in Logistics, Operations Management or related degree
Preferred to be a thought leader and possess strong knowledge and experience in Advanced Planning Systems such as APO/SCM etc.
Strong consensus building and persuasive skills. Excellent written and oral skills, strong process facilitation skills and ability to lead without direct authority.
Experience with SAP preferred
