As the Inclusion & Diversity Talent Acquisition Partnership Lead, you will identify and execute opportunities to increase BD’s brand and presence, especially among targeted diverse talent populations in line with BD’s I&D goals. This may include outreach initiatives such as marketing/advertising campaigns, direct sourcing efforts, diversity focused talent conferences and events, referral programs and university relations activities.

This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in building partnerships and managing relationships and a dedication to identifying and executing differentiating tactics and strategies in sourcing and engaging diverse talent. You will be expected to be a positive relationship manager, an effective mentor and an outstanding communicator that can lead sophisticated projects and initiatives.   • Create and sustain relationships with alumni associations, professional associations, diversity organizations, individuals, and community organizations to use as recruiting sources.

  • Research and recommend external partnerships, job boards, events, and tools that deliver impact and support our talent needs, specifically targeting diverse audiences.

  • Manage the talent agenda for diversity conferences by developing a diversity conference recruitment strategy including the planning and execution of diversity recruitment events and engaging organizational champions to support initiatives.

  • Track and monitor metrics to assess outreach efforts and partnerships and adjusting strategies/activities to improve results.

  • Qualify and match talent and present them for current and future openings

  • Maintain a network of high-potential candidates through thoughtful engagement practices, building candidate rapport, and acting as a candidate advisor and advocate throughout the recruitment process.

  • Represent BD in the marketplace both as part of providing an outstanding candidate experience and at external and internal events.

  • Partner with Recruitment Marketing / Employer Branding to drive awareness for initiatives

  • Drive operational excellence and compliance and ensure delivery against targets

  • Approach challenges and quick changes with a sense of energy, passion and service

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • 6+ years in a role focused on developing and managing strong relationships with external partners.

  • Ability to think strategically and gain support for ideas and initiatives

  • A dedication to diversity, inclusion, and belonging, particularly as it pertains to recruitment

  • Experience developing and partnering with professional diversity organizations nationally strongly preferred.

  • Outstanding consultation and collaboration skills, including active listening, influencing decision, translating issues into workable solutions that meet business needs.

  • Event management experience, leading multiple programs from start to finish required. D&I event programming experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with ATS, CRM and other related platforms preferred.

  • Ability to learn/flex and adapt to changing business needs.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills

  • Ability to travel approximately 25%

  • Working knowledge of OFCCP, EEO and Affirmative Action general guidelines and requirements preferred.
