Job Duties & Responsibilities
Monitor, analyze and communicate professional and industry trends and legal developments
Manage and lead special projects/assignments
Develop presentations and training materials
Analyze and make recommendations based on internal and external research and data
Drafting, editing, & finalizing documents including complex commercial agreements
Project management
Knowledge management
Perform legal and regulatory research
Meeting facilitation (e.g., leading and scheduling team meetings and related follow-ups)
Practice Area Specific Job Duties
Practice Area: Commercial/US Region
Collaborate with businesses/functions to understand and frame desired business terms or intent; draft agreements, legal letters and other documents accordingly
Review, edit, and finalize complex commercial agreements
Manage government contract compliance activities, including:
Review, audit and analysis of information and data in various systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze relevant information, write reports and recommendations based on such information
Review, interpret and advise on government contract policies and procedures
Develop training and presentations to improve awareness of and compliance with government contract policies and procedures
Make recommendations to improve and develop additional guidelines
Manage data rights governance activities, including:
Review and analysis of data governance terms and conditions in agreements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze relevant information; write reports and recommendations based on such information.
Develop, implement, and maintain a knowledge management process for the practice group:
Lead Commercial and US Region projects, such as implementation and training on standardized sales terms and conditions, to drive compliance and operational improvements
Identify subject matter and speakers for training/CLE for the practice group and organize training
Create and manage topic specific repositories of information for the team to leverage (e.g. memos, articles, presentations, trainings in a particular subject matter area)
Identify and implement recommendations to improve practice group processes, guidelines, and templates based on developments and trends
Synthesize developments and provide regular updates to practice group
Review, track, and analyze professional and industry trends and legal developments

Advanced proficiency in office software.
Ability to organize larger meetings, town halls and training sessions, including scheduling, proposing presenters and outside speakers, and directly facilitating meeting
Willingness to take on stretch assignments, when appropriate
Advanced capabilities in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including ability to create high-quality PowerPoint files suitable for sharing with senior leaders
Ability to understand and leverage relevant legal-specific technology tools, including creating and managing folders, searching, storing, version control, sharing, etc.
Ability to conduct web-based research using public databases.
Legal research and investigation skills
Demonstrated ability to use sound, independent judgment and discretion
Demonstrated ability to interpret and advise on relevant policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Relevant experience with technology, systems and/or related experience such as complex project management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to independently identify key issues, develop and implement creative solutions
Prior experience supporting a legal function is a plus
