BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) North America Transportation MDO & Process Analyst in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey
Job Description SummaryReporting to the North American Transportation Manager of Process & TMS Governance, the North American MDO Transportation Coordinator is to understand, maintain, and improve the structure and integrity of transportation-related master data and configurations supporting CTC-D processes in SAP/SCM.
This role requires proficiency in the operational and master data processes within NA Transportation as well as its key integrations with 3rd party applications such as TMS, Cass, and/or other mega-processes within BD such as CTC Order Management, EDM, DTS Planning, CFMDO, Procurement, Supply Chain Relations, Commercial Operations, Freight Pay, and DC Operations.
This role owns the processes supporting the publishing of carrier rates with BD’s nominated freight cashier, respective updates to TMS, as well as integration with Procurement to ensure complete and accurate coverage for North American transportation lanes.
The MDO Coordinator is responsible for trouble-shooting and resolving master data issues within the CTC-D space. They support the transfer of knowledge and change management for their process area. They are a hands-on SAP resource and can ensure system settings are aligned with desired results.
The North American MDO Transportation Coordinator Owns the Transportation related master data and configurations associated with SAP/SCM and its integration with E2E processes across systems to identify, implement, and maintain systemic alignment with functional and business objectives. This position also owns the North American Transportation Rate Management Process across the platforms (TMS, Procurement, Freight Pay & Audit, Analytics & Compliance) to ensure alignment of the process across the enterprise while meeting the unique needs of each specific area.
Support the change readiness of Transportation master data to adopt to process initiatives
Measure and improve the SAP system usage and their understanding of the process
Identify and implement best practices within their process area
Ensure process knowledge is delivered and sustained within their respective area
Provide sites with subject matter expertise regarding master data and configuration settings
Maintain relevant C2C curriculums and training for End-Users
Develop and streamline processes supporting the retrieval of carrier rates from Procurement, their effective and timely publishing with freight cashier, and updates to TMS for operational planning/execution. This would include, but not be limited to the following areas:
Periodic RFQ/bid activities
Milk-run customer rates for Sparks
Investigation of carrier rate inquiries, disputes, and/or rejections from freight cashier
Troubleshoot SAP-related process issues and offer solutions
Assist in the maintenance of DDL (Delivery Due List) batch jobs and related SAP variants
Prepare necessary SAP/SCM data loads within CTC-D space using established templates and guidelines
Assist in the management of weekly cadence calls, policy development, issue resolution, and other critical areas where integration with 3PLs and freight collect processes are concerned.
Assist in the maintenance and updates to policies, job aids governing Transportation-related master data
Coordinate with EDM (Enterprise Data Management) and Cap Gemini teams for purposes of pre-data load testing activities and post-load validation
Maintain updates to NA Transportation Sharepoint location
Work with Business Process team regarding updates to NA Transportation Sharepoint Workflow tool used for customer SDA and/or fixed schedule change requests
Up to 10% travel is required for this position
Demonstrated proficiency in SAP is required
Broad understanding of cross functional processes

Ability to assess business readiness from SAP standpoint and help to drive process implementation and adoption
Work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze large amounts of data and support problem solving

Posses analytical and problem solving abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of relevant experience preferred
