Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Commercial Contracting Offer Development, this role will directly establish and drivie governance, process and technology optimization, and sustainable continuous improvement across the portfolio of Commercial Contracting Offer Development activities supporting the BD US Region businesses. This position will have close matrix collaboration with Commercial Contracting leadership, TGS/IT, Sales leaders, Commercial Excellence & Business Process orgs.
The position’s primary objective will be to advance Commercial Contracting reporting best practices across metric surveillance including target and deviation monitoring and stakeholder reporting. Additionally, the role will assist with and support the identification, operationalization, and establishment of governance through SLAs/metrics, process discipline and supporting a continuous improvement roadmap. Essential to these objectives will be working with IT to help establish a method for metric reporting, contract compliance & transparency, and benchmarking Commercial Contracting Offer Development, and stakeholders’ processes.
This role will help to monitor and provide metrics on processes for Contract Offer Development contract request intake assessment and manage reporting, to support overall efficiency and accuracy within Commercial Contracting Offer Development. This role will also support a new strategic customer focus capability within Contracting, supporting data gathering and reporting to help enable a more wholistic view across the strategic customer base to assist in contract development. Through close collaboration with our Contracting Offer Development leaders, Analytics/Master Data, Contract Execution, and Governance counterparts, the Sr. Data Analyst will support an improved internal customer experience for our organization.

Responsibilities:
Develop metrics, KPI’s, benchmarking, and process surveillance reporting dashboards for leadership and stakeholder business reviews.
Working with Commercial Contracting Process and Systems Governance leaders, establish, monitor, and analyze metrics, KPIs and SLAs to enable CI (best practice and opportunity insights), assess operational health, and instill accountability across Commercial Contracting Offer Development and other functional stakeholders.
Provide insight for cadence reviews of reports, metrics, KPIs and actions; escalate to leadership as appropriate to ensure goals are achieved based on identified metric guidelines and improvement strategy.
Partner closely with supporting teams to drive operational efficiencies and optimization of automated processes and tools. Create/maintain inventory of technology platform training and documentation (ERP, Vistex, SFDC, CPQ, CLM, etc.) functionality and ensure performance and adoption appropriately support commercial contract offer development activities.
Create reporting and metrics to monitor Commercial Contracting Offer Development end to end process such as requests, signed agreements, and contract lifecycle data.
Support Commercial Contracting E2E governance initiatives.
Aid with establishing a benchmarking process within the organization with a focus on forward looking process health, market trends, and emerging customer needs.
Coordinate with the Contract Offer Development and Contract Operations leadership team to create effective metrics and reporting structure that captures process hand-offs between the two functional groups to ensuring that we deliver needed downstream information and reduce rework.
Collaborate with Contract Offer Development and Sales stakeholders to assist with inquiries for top strategic accounts such as pricing audits & reconciliation, determining ownership, and contract compliance.
Maintain and update training material and desktop procedures related to automated tools/applications.
Help to create reporting and dashboards for Contract Offer Development systems and tools such as Aptus (CLM), Oracle CPQ, Salesforce, and contract compliance.
Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor's degree required.
Demonstrated experience successfully navigating and collaborating across business and matrix organizations.
Strategic and analytical problem solver with business acumen. Able to evaluate business drivers and develop clear recommendations.
Ability to support cross functional projects.
Demonstrated knowledge of key business operational metrics and reporting
Ability to support business operational review meetings, communicate performance progress, and identify risks & opportunities to stakeholders in support of business objectives.
Advanced at obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to create reports, metrics, and evaluate performance to SLA’s.
Proven ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization.
Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint advanced proficiency
Advanced Excel and technical reporting skills with ability to manipulate data and create reporting, Power BI & QlikView required; SAP BI preferred.
Apply a customer centric approach to communicate effectively and lead conversations across stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize.
Ability to travel 5%
