The Plan-to-Forecast (“P2F”) program is transforming Finance’s BP&A function by streamlining and harmonizing planning, reporting and analytics across BD’s global businesses, regions, and functions. The Senior Manager, BP&A Transformation will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of new end-to-end solutions (e.g., new processes, tools, and organizational models) to achieve the transformation objectives.


  • Manage a workstreamconsisting of 3-5 associates to design and implement future state processes, modeling and reporting in BPC and QlikView, etc.

  • Develop project plan and prioritize the team’s activities

  • Partner with Product Owner and Scrum Master to meet detailed timeline deliverables

  • Ensure the team has an adequate amount of prepared tasks

  • Document activities and prepare PowerPoint slides for appropriate program updates

  • Embrace agile framework to successfully collaborate with core and extended team members to execute activities

  • Design

  • Partner with the global BDX BP&A organization (e.g., BUs, Region, Functions, COEs) to assess current state processes, planning approaches, reporting, and organizational structures via data gathering techniques (e.g., lead and conduct cross-team workshops)

  • Collaborate with Product Owner to design standardized global BP&A processes and tools (e.g., forecast models, reporting) based on P2F’s guiding principles

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. IT and FOS) to support design and build of the new tools by providing necessary business requirements

  • Test

  • Lead and validate data flow between sources, including transformations based on data mappings, and enterprise planning and reporting tools

  • Lead and execute the testing of new enterprise tools to ensure they work as intended (e.g., data integrity, system performance, functionality, user friendliness)

  • Implement

  • Develop standardized training materials and execute training for the new tools

  • Partner with Product Owner to lead and support implementation activities via User Acceptance Testing, simulations, cut-over, and go-live

  • Be an ambassador for the change process, and gather feedback to incorporate into continuously improving solutions

  • Manage, educate, and provide coachingto 1-3 Finance associates


Education & Experience

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or technical field. MBA a plus

  • 8-10 years relevant work experience in Finance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Technical Experience

  • Strong financial reporting system experience (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, BPC)

  • Extensive Microsoft Excel experience, including strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
