Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Mgr. of Information Potection Strategy is responsible for the design and management of the protection strategies that are used for data assets across the enterprise. The primary goal of these strategies is to manage and continuously improve the information security risk posture. This role directs the policies, processes, procedures and technologies associated with the protection of critical data and all information assets.
Specific areas of focus include:
Ensure overall protection of businessinformationthat is classified as confidential or secret (most critical)
Manage theevaluation and recommendation of vendor products forendpointprotection and other information asset protection; liaise as appropriate with product security
Manage and communicatedata management process and use technology to store data securely
Manage, coach, lead and develop Strategy and Business Engagement personnel;sharesecurity advisory and security thought leadershipwith the business
Lead identification of opportunities to enhance performance (productivity and efficiency) of the end-to-end process solution (people, process and technology) and reduce costs
Monitor overallspendandforecasts with Service Providers
Define and create metrics to measure Data Protection
Degree o f Accountability:
MonitorGISData ProtectionServices and models across all business linesto gauge/measure effectiveness.
Oversee outsourced resources and ensure support and implementation of the Data Protection strategies andGIS initiatives.
Oversee the organizingand protection ofinformation assets
Interface with other GIS team members to facilitate integration and completion of Data Protection objectives.
Worksclosely withtheother GIS service lines,HR, and Legalteams on security incidentsto limit losses to the company.
Ensurescontinuoussecurity monitoring andexecution ofoperations strategy. Provides support to the business linesandhasinput tosecurityexpenditures and budget
Failures withinGIS organizationhave the potential to allowtechnology implementations and business lines to be damaged by exposure that harms BD risk posture enterprise-wide.
Responsible forworking with the business units in order tobalancesecurity risk withcost and burden of implementation and impact.

Knowledge & experience
Prior experienceworking with security processes and technology
Experience with application development & automation
Experience implementing andmanaging process improvement and qualityprograms
Experience creating metrics and reports for executive leadership.
CISSP, CISM, CIPP
7+ years experience in IT Managementacross multiple disciplines
Experience in implementing / managing complex projects,initiatives, and continuous improvement
Ability to influence without direct authority or oversight.
Experience working in a regulatory environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience developing Procedures & Processes
