Summary

The Senior Analyst, Global Supply Chain (GSC) Analytics is responsible for providing insights and analytics support for the management based upon agreed to KPI's and Strategic Initiatives. This role will function as a strategic partner to the Supply chain leaders and their team to proactively identify critical data and analytics need to drive the strategy. An ideal candidate for this role will have experience developing insights by gathering and analyzing data from diverse sources/ERP systems and communicate the insights behind the numbers. This position will work closely with cross functional stakeholders including IT, Supply Chain, Businesses, Regions and will serve as a catalyst to drive best in class analytics capabilities. The candidate should have knowledge and very good understanding of latest technology, future trends and assist in evaluating future supply chain trends & best practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement dashboard, reports and all data-related solutions (program design, report design, data feed design, data aggregation, etc.)

  • Act as the data expert, leading the way in data discovery, both proactively and by request, to identify key insights and trends to help drive strategic recommendations

  • Deliver ad hoc reporting and analytics within an agreed-upon SLA

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and build analytics capabilities to drive single source of truth for all Supply chain operation related data

  • Build new capabilities and tools to drive self-service analytics for business users across supply chain functions

  • Responsible for partnering with the developers and ensure dashboards and analytic tool are user friendly

  • Implement common metric across the network to measure and monitor operational performance

  • Proactively work with the management in analyzing data to not only identify problems and trends but develop solutions to those trends

  • Develop and implement Supply chain operational metrics/dashboard that brings focus on key performance indicators and key “pinch-points”

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop and document business requirements for developers.

  • Supports all pillars of Global Supply chain operations regarding KPIs and Metrics

  • Perform benchmarking and leading practices studies, bringing best-in-class concepts from relevant industries into BD’s Supply chain operation strategies and drive supply chain innovation

  • Communicate and present findings to the senior leadership in Supply Chain and throughout the organization

  • Lead and participate in various projects (Integration, CI etc.)

  • 10 – 15% travel may be required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 - 7 years of related experience; or MBA/MS in relevant discipline and 2 - 7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with Supply Chain Analytics, Decision Support and Data Management

  • Experience with relational databases (SQL) and any of the business intelligence tools required (QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI)

  • Understanding of the E2E supply chain processes, broad Supply Chain knowledge

  • Order fulfilment (Distribution, Transportation) and customer service experience highly desirable

  • Experience with SAP required

  • Experience with lean/six sigma preferred

  • Must have strong analytical, project management, and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment.

  • Must demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Some experience with Advanced Planning Systems a plus

  • Collaborative approach at all levels to issue resolution and opportunity identification.

  • Demonstrated customer centric focus and global orientation

  • Ability to influence outcomes for initiatives over which he/she does not have full control

  • Ability to quickly understand and analyze data

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills
