JOB SUMMARY:

This position reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Business Planning & Analysis and will lead the Reporting COE, which is the partnering group to the Global Finance and Business Unit organizations which provides training, new reporting dashboard creation, and resolution of issues (notably, for the PBI reporting tool).

This direct connection with the finance community is critical for understanding business needs, developing solutions, and maintaining data dashboards while ensuring data integrity. This includes being responsible for identifying potential process improvements, expanding the Reporting COE to encompass and align reporting needs across the financial system network and working with users to understand and realize reporting efficiency benefits.

The Reporting COE works closely with the Finance Operations and Systems (FOS) team. The Reporting COE and FOS teams liaise cross-functionally, sharing responsibility for implementation, maintenance, modification, enhancement, access and governance of financial accounting, planning and reporting systems with the goal of ensuring the accurate recognition and reporting of financial activity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the Reporting COE team - development and coaching of three direct reports and mentoring of other finance associates

  • Expansion of PBI reporting tool with additional modules and dashboards in development and increasing user base

  • Research, align, and expand the Reporting COE capabilities across financial systems

  • Liaise between IT, PBI technical support, and the business units in developing detailed business user requirements, system documentation, training and workflow procedures for projects and continuous improvement efforts

  • Develop and deliver training to support and develop finance and non-finance end users

  • Coordinate and manage projects, working with different teams to meet project timelines

  • Work closely with the IT organization to resolve technical data issues in a timely manner

  • Develop, troubleshoot and support global Finance reporting

  • Subject matter data expert in data flow end to end processes

  • Serve as the control point for Finance BPC, Power BI , BI/BW and other system reports, IM tickets, master data and security profiles/training as needed

  • Ensure that changes to master data and system logic flow to Power BI as intended

  • Proactively learn new Power BI technology as it is released and train finance user community

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Systems (required)

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant Finance experience including experience focused on systems administration, end user support of financial systems, business partnering, and/or related experience

  • System implementation or big data experience a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global matrix structure, along business, geographic and functional dimensions

  • Ability to quickly adapt, learn new systems, new concepts, connecting the link between different processes and tools, and applying them as needed

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to present material and complex matters in a concise and organized manner

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to logically think through complex accounting/system issues to identify solutions

  • Ability to perform big data analytics sets and identify discrepancies or variances

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Ability to manage a team of reporting analysts

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

PREFERRED:

  • Direct SAP/BW/BPC/Power BI experience

  • Financial, analytical, and detailed business understanding and related reporting in various Finance areas

  • Ability to travel (up to 20%) – BD offices, Training courses, business partnering
