BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) US Supply Planner in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey
Job Description SummaryThe US Supply Planner assumes responsibility for achieving established service level targets and inventory investment. The US Supply Planner will maintain a strong linkage to the Global Supply Chain Planners to understand the Master Production scheduling of the manufacturing sites, or purchased requirements from an OEM supplier. The US Supply Planner is responsible for achieving and maintaining the safety stock levels for each product at each of the HUB1 distribution centers.
This position will initiate and drive continuous improvement focused on supply chain planning and execution within the HUB1 network. This position will also establish a relationship with Sales and Marketing, Finance, Quality, R&D and Operations functions to gain a clear understanding of US region business direction. Additionally, this position will support development of action plans to achieve supply chain goals and customer satisfaction and maintain a strong link to worldwide business plans to support US demand and supply needs.
The US Supply Planner responsible for US supply planning of internal and external FG suppliers to achieve service level and inventory investment objectives for assigned products.
Maintains appropriate FG inventory levels and product deployment to achieve US backorder, line fill, inventory turn and future day supply objectives
Participates in monthly supply consensus meetings hosted by the Global Supply Planner to ensure supply models accuretly represent distribution requirements, production plans and expected inventory levels that are needed to support the most recent US demand projection
Monitors manufacturing schedule and mix compliance
Acts as a liason for PAS WW Supply Chain Partners regarding supply of US produce items and OEM vendors
Supports and drives the strategic business objectives of the US Region President by ensuring the appropriate levels of inventory and the most effective supply chain process is maintained to meet US customer needs
Translates US business/supply chain/invnetory needs into supply needs Assists in the implementation of US go-to-market plans, specifically establishing initial stocking quantities, target inventory levels and DC locations.
Executes SAP business processes and maintain SAP master data associated with US supply planning to ensure appropriate product supply and deployment
Conducts appropriate levels of analystical analysis as needed
Participates on and/or lead continuous improvement projects and initiativies to meet US supply chain objectives

BS or BA degree.
Experience in demand or supply planning using SAP .
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced Excel and PC application skills.
Good communication skills.
Abilty to coordinate information across several functions/regions.
Preferred and Additional Skills and Qualifications
An educational concentration in Supply Chain or Operations Management preferred.
APICS CPIM certification preferred.
