BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Business Manager (m/f/i) Diabetes Care - GSA in Heidelberg, Germany
Job Description Summary
Based in Heidelberg, the Business Manager has full accountability for BD’s Diabetes Care business (DC) in Germany, Switzerland and Austria (GSA) and reports to the Business Director Diabetes Care CE directly. The Business Manager is responsible to achieve the Revenue and GP targets and is leading the retail, non-acute and acute sales teams.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creation, communication and engagement of DC GSA strategy. Furthermore, you will capture/evaluate market trends and recommend respective commercial priorities, business opportunities and solutions.
You will lead the development and implementation of the DC GSA Sales and Marketing Plan (in collaboration with the CE LT team).
You’ll ensure that challenging business targets will be met and develop an organization that will embrace change, new initiatives and will be ready for future challenges.
Execution / Commercial Implementation:
You will ensure the development of challenging, but achievable Revenue plans for DC in GSA and further be accountable for the overall DC GSA performance vs. budget, constantly providing effective business and financial reporting to the Business Director CE.
You will drive Sales Force efficiency / effectiveness by setting KPIs, implementing a plan&review process and optimizing the usage of tools (i.e. SFDC, Showpad). Furthermore, you will optimize sales channels (direct sales, inside sales, digital selling) by using analytics for customer segmentation and targeting.
You will develop the Safety business in Acute und Long-Term-Care by defining the Sales strategy and and collaborating with the BDX Key Account team.
You will define partner programs with our wholesalers.
You will closely work with Marketing, defining and executing Omnichannel campaigns
You will be responsible to implement new business models and to define a growth strategy for Austria and Switzerland.
You will manage relationships with key decision makers of the wholesalers, DC associations, insurance companies and hospital purchasing groups (in collaboration with the Key Account Manager and DC CE LT).
You will engage with Digital Health associations (in collaboration with Market Access).

Together with the Business Director CE, you will develop and implement an organizational plan that defines the capabilities necessary to support the business in the medium to long-term as well as ensures that the organization remains structurally flexible, competitive and capable of adapting to change. You will build your own succession plan and furthermore develop them for critical roles.
Requirements & Qualifications
You have a university degree in Business or a related field as well as a minimum of 5 years’ sales, marketing and business management experience and 3 years’ experience in managing people.
You are highly analytical, using data to drive business decisions.
Drive for results with strong business and financial accumen.
You have strong business ethics and are a fast learner, who is able to quickly achieve a thorough understanding of the business opportunities for BD and adapt business models to a fast changing market and regulatory environment.
You experienced working in a multi-faceted high-paced matrix environment, project management with demonstrated strategic planning and execution, budget development and oversight.
You have effective communication skills, the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under pressure and at one time.
Agile project management experience is a plus.
Fluency in German and English required
Ability and willingness to travel within GSA
Proven ability to organize and build high performance multi-functional teams
