Onboarding Manager EMEA – 12 month FTC

Location: any major European BD hub

In a brand new role, as the Onboarding Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing an Onboarding Program for new hires within the EMEA organization. You will play an integral role in standardizing and automating the onboarding process for efficiency and optimizing the effectiveness of our ability to bring new talent to the organization, driving consistency and quality across our businesses in EMEA for approx. 3000 new hires a year.

This position will ensure the New Hires Onboarding program caters for different audiences whilst delivering an outstanding, consistent positive and seamless employee and manager experience. This includes selecting and implementing on-boarding technology, whilst also defining and documenting workflows, processes and procedures.

Working with partners across different functions and business units, as well as with external vendors, this individual will have the opportunity to partner across the globe at a senior level of the organization. To implement a new solution, this role will act as a strong change agent and be required to engage senior leaders to gain consensus and support of the solution.

This role will support the transformation of Talent Acquisition to become a strategic partner, consistent with the overall corporate HR transformation strategy.

This is a 12 month fixed-term contract.


  • Build and lead the project team responsible for Onboarding program operations

  • Partner with Recruiters, HRBPs, HR Shared Service Centre, Talent Management andHR Technology to deliver an employee onboarding program

  • Partner with functional leaders (finance, IT, Regulatory etc) to ensure consensus and a seamless experience across functions

  • Use people-related data to drive better decision making and develop key metrics to review the efficiency of Onboarding investments and programs focusing on time to productivity

  • Develop and lead efforts that bring our culture and core values to life in the onboarding experience

  • Review and update Onboarding communications / content to ensure a consistent voice

  • Collaborate with the wider Recruiting team to ensure a smooth hand off from recruitment to onboarding

  • Act as a subject matter authority on Onboarding; helps build the company’s overall proficiency in this area

  • Partner with other HR professionals to share findings and standard methodologies


  • Experienced in implementing and designing effective onboarding strategies for a large organization

  • Experienced in crafting and leading a major cross-country and cross-functional project

  • Experienced working with a large, heavily matrix environment

  • Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to provide recommendations

  • Process and technology design experience


  • Persuasive verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time leadership skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Confirmed creative skills

  • Ability to handle ambiguity, stressful and/or confidential situations with ease, integrity, and savviness
