Our Fraga facility is home to approximately 600 associates and specialises in the development and manufacture of plastic, purpose-designed drug delivery systems which are supplied to the pharmaceutical industry for filling and distributed to end-users worldwide.

As Maintenance Engineer reporting to our Manufacturing Leader, you’ll be accountable to attend to the sections providing the appropriate technical service in terms of troubleshooting, execution of corrective and preventive maintenance, to ensure the proper functioning and quality of production of equipment and general and auxiliary facilities. That’ll involve the management and monitoring of projects, assigned technical personnel, training plans, material resources and available means. You’ll also be responsible for monitoring and control of maintenance costs, as well as the management of preventive maintenance programs: design, planning, updates, improvements, monitoring and training

In addition to close liaison with project teams to ensure support is provided to meet project objectives, your other key Maintenance Engineer responsibilities include:

• Management and follow-up of the spare part of the equipment: registration of new references, removal of obsolete products, control of stock levels, definition of criticality, standardization and cost optimization.

• Participation of validations and tests.

• Monitoring and control of maintenance costs.

• Contact with external suppliers and workshops for the request of budgets and follow-ups of works.

Educated to degree level in Engineering, preferably specialising in Mechanical, Polymer Science or a related discipline, you’ll have a proven engineering track record in maintenance within a medium- to high-volume manufacturing environment. Your robust knowledge and experience of polymers, injection mould tool designs and process development, will complement your skills in problem analysis and fault-finding. You also have a strong grasp of structured and controlled working practices, with clear and accurate documentation, reporting and presentation skills and the ability to prioritise. In addition to first-class project management (MS Project) and analytical skills, your other attributes include:

• experience of Six Sigma methodologies

• knowledge of GMP and Regulatory requirements for the medical industry

• the ability to work within a Clean Room environment.
