The IDS Media Quality Assurance Manager has responsibility for applying/interpreting the applicable Quality Systems, developing/implementing the procedures/policies, and direct management over the 250S Media QC laboratory team and 250S QA Release Control team.
Additional responsibilities include Quality representation on various project/program teams in support of NPD, sustaining, and routine plant operations.
Develops and maintains budgets, schedules, and performance requirements. Identifies and develops high potential associates within the quality organization.
Responsibilities include ability to provide technical/Quality leadership input, and functions as an advisor to plants or subunit regarding tasks, projects, and operations regarding QC/QA activities.
They are key representatives to the internal organization, the plant leadership team, and external stakeholders at various management levels concerning various phases/status of projects/activities.
Key Job Responsibilities include:
Recommends modifications to procedures and processes that can impact the plant/business
Is knowledgeable about Media products, customer usage of products, and QC of products
Keeps current with all applicable regulatory agencies and regulatory requirements that apply to products sold or in development
Drives Quality System compliance across Media QC and Release Control directly, and indirectly to stakeholder teams/organizations
Accountable for 250S Media QC testing and QA release of product in accordance with business priorities
Works with cross-functional 250S plant Leadership to implement changes and manage business objectives as an extended member of the 250S Media leadership team
Mentors and develops QC Scientists, QA Specialists
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and accomplish results directly managing or through lower-level subordinate supervisors or experienced direct reports
Able to organize and prioritize assignments providing direction to and participation on assigned functional teams
Able to maintain strategic and tactical interaction with internal leaders
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
Ability to represent functional and operations organization with clarity and manage conflict resolution in a wide variety of settings
Supports and drives change management within team, function, and/or across business unit
Key functional or cross-functional liaison with stakeholders concerning operational or project deliverables
Demonstratedtalentmanagementskills
Broad knowledge and understanding of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR 820 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2016
Ability to effectively lead teamfinancials according to BD strategic vision/ASR
Minimum Education and/or Experience in years include:
BS degree required in Engineering, Science, or technical field, higher education a plus.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience with a regulated industry preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience preferred.
ASQ, CQE, and CQA Certifications preferred.
