Department Overview

The BD GCS Professional Services Department manages, plans and coordinates the implementation of the BD Dispensing Solutions. Teams are assigned to customer projects and accounts based on regional/national organizational structures. Project teams are comprised of internal and external cross functional, multidisciplinary members working in harmony toward the common goal of a successful, on-time implementation. Activities include project management governance, product/solution implementation, workflow assessment, system design, configuration and validation, integration engineering functions and general customer relationship and partnering activities. In addition to customer-facing responsibilities, this department is also responsible for many backend business functions including revenue forecasting and recognition, equipment logistics (including ordering, customer confirmation and return authorizations), implementation methodologies and quality system requirements.

Purpose

The Senior Analyst, Professional Services is a collaborative member of the cross-functional project team responsible for the implementation of the Medication Management Systems Dispensing System/Pyxis products or Pyxis Supply Technologies and implements a wide range of products. This involves extensive customer interaction and service. In addition, the Senior Analyst, Professional Services drives the installation process through demonstrated mastery of the established implementation methodologies and adherence to project governance. Projects typically range in scope from single or multi-unit expansions to over 100 units consisting of multiple products. The Senior Analyst serves as the Lead Analyst and is expected to coordinate and direct the onsite activities of one or more analysts. The Senior Analyst effectively performs the required tasks to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction. The Senior Analyst serves as mentor to other internal team members. In conjunction with the Technical Consultant, the Senior Analyst provides input to the customer and the project manager on project timeline, device staging process, go live order, and go live methodology.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

Conveys a positive image of BD to Customers. Provides timely project task status to appropriate team members and customer. Establishes and nurtures rapport with customers that is conducive to a long-term business relationship. Actively participates in conference calls and customer meetings, providing guidance on project approach and technical matters. Anticipates need for small parts and completes orders proactively to support the project schedule and to minimize waste. Subject matter expert on the installation and support of two or more Dispensing Systems product/Pyxis products hardware and software. Provides input to project team and customer on the rollout plan, timelines, staging and go live methodologies and project assignments. Demonstrates proficiency in product feature/functionality and operational knowledge of core BD MMS Dispensing products and solutions. Demonstrates mastery of the configuration of product-related hardware / software. Demonstrates knowledge and follows established BD MMS Dispensing product implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards. Conducts customer training on the use of Pyxis products. Acts as a customer support resource when necessary. Demonstrates strong knowledge of customer workflow Must be detail oriented, and able to deal with multiple projects and competing demands consistent with established company and customer objectives. Demonstrates advanced analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Provides professional problem solving and troubleshooting as needed. Self-motivated; works independently with minimal supervision. Takes initiative to establish and meet goals and objectives. Serves as Lead Analyst and primary point of contact to the customer for onsite device implementation activities. Effectively conducts team product training and on-boarding/mentoring of new associates. May serve as Extended Team member, providing Implementation Readiness & Dev Ops Support. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and the development of tools for the advancement of the Professional Services analyst community. Possesses excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change. Consistently demonstrates administrative discipline including strong time management skills and the ability to maintain numerous priorities while meeting established deadlines, goals and objectives. Completes internal company and project documentation accurately and timely. Demonstrates the interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively in a team environment and with attention to inclusion and diversity. Manages responsibilities within the allotted Project and Travel and Expense budgets. Ensures that all onsite team members work in a safety-conscious manner ensuring adherence to safe work practices. Follows company policies and procedures; including BD policy on drug-free workplace. Reports complaints and enhancement requests regarding BD products and service per BD company policy. Maintains confidential information including BD proprietary information. Follows all vendor credentialing requirements. Consistently demonstrates the BD Values.

Education, Experience or Equivalent:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience. Prefer three or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement or five or more years with other computerized system applications. One or more years of Pyxis-specific implementation experience preferred. One or more years of training and/or teaching experience required. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote) Exposure to clinical software applications is a plus. Demonstration of competency in Pyxis product software applications.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. This position involves pushing, pulling, stooping, bending and lifting.

Work Environment:

Works primarily in a geographically defined territory; however, based on account or project needs, could be assigned outside of the territory or region. Travel may range from 60% - 80%, overnight travel included. Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. Ability to work independently from home office. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
