For our location in Karlsruhe we are looking for an R&D Engineer (f/m/d).
You are a member of the R&D department and support the development work with your skills and knowledge. You are mainly responsible for the planning and coordination of technical test setups, technical support for components, material methods, systems and equipment, and development of physical and functional test requirements to ensure that specifications and regulations are met.
Essential job functions:
Works with cross-functional product development teams to develop, transfer, launch and maintain innovative, high quality and compliant medical devices
Supports the development and design of new medical devices and processes, develops product specifications
Develops physical and functional test requirements to ensure applicable specifications and regulations are met
Generates experimental test protocols and reports and coordinates prototype fabrication. Tabulates data and performs general statistical analysis
Generates and oversees design verification and validation studies in collaboration with Quality engineering
Support risk management activities
What is expected of you for success in your role
You have a Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, material sciences or chemical engineering
Desirable qualifications skills and must-have knowledge:
Effective oral and written communication skills
Good analytical capabilities. Process oriented with good attention to detail
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team environment
Knowledge of the standard MS office software
Fluent written and oral English
Working knowledge of appropriate global medical devices regulation and standards is a plus
Knowledge of statistical methods is a plus
Experience in a similar position preferable
