Job Description Summary
The incumbent will provide leadership and facilitation for the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (CI) initiatives and activities in the cluster executive steering committee (ESC) and supporting the Kulim Plant executive steering committee (ESC).
Ability to perform time study for all processes across the plant and propose suitable manning for each cell/line/process.
Take a lead role in all continuous improvement projects including Lean manufacturing, VSM, standard work, TWI, Kaizen, 5S, visual aid and other Lean tools at site covering profit improvement project, capacity expansion project and automations.
Provide technical support and share technical knowledge to all employees who engage in Lean and CIP projects
Responsible to develop, implement and maintain report both accurate, timely and transparent performance metrics and reporting.
Responsible to create a share point where it can be the based for knowledge sharing.
Responsible to motivate and cultivate all employees about Lean and ensure the momentum about doing lean is sustainable.
Identify improvement opportunities with clear project definition, support local site leader to priorities and allocation appropriate resources to projects and improvement activities.
Responsible for designing a ‘born lean’ manufacturing line for all product and process transfer, equipment set up and buy-off, qualification, validation and quality compliance.
Using Work content or Line Balancing method to figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency.
Work with operation and engineering to develop standardized work for all production process.
Identify, evaluate, and recommend changes or improvements in operational process, procedures, and equipment and provide analysis to support these changes.
Work hand in hand with BPI Manager to develop budget and capital expenditure plans for operational improvements
Manage and/or participate in project teams to achieve defined objective and deliverables through the use of various Lean and Industrial Engineering tools.
Performing cost studies, economic comparisons, and justification analysis.
Help companies increase productivity.
Optimize methods of business organization.
Study product requirements and design manufacturing and information systems to meet requirements.
Develop management control systems.
Perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes.
Assist in financial planning and cost analysis.
Design production planning and control systems.
Design methods to ensure product quality.
Improve ways to distribute goods and services.
Determine most viable plant and factory locations.
Resolve production problems.
Design layout of equipment and workspace.
Estimate production costs.
Create sampling procedures and designs.
Evaluate accuracy of production and testing equipment.
Study and rearrange org charts, material flow, and operations sequence.
Evaluate effects of product design changes.
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
